  1. I was going to suggest the rear of the rear view mirror but a proper mount would probably be best
  2. Exactly I'm actually contemplating getting a credit card but I promised myself I wouldn't. I just can't see any other way of finishing my build anytime soon lol.
  3. That's awesome! I wonder how many people play that way, they would have a fairly large advantage over most users.
  4. The tensioner bracket & pulley wheel are the same ones as the ones on ebay. Just get the kit with the timing belt and bin the timing belt Just get the OE belt from Toyota You don't need 13540 if it isn't broken. As long as when you lean on it (full weight) it doesn't go in then you are fine. Make sure you align the hole before fitting it though as fitting it by screwing it into place will over stretch the timing belt.
  5. The coil pack clip is on the harness bud. It's what connects the loom to the coilpack (it's a plug). They won't be supplied with the coilpacks. You need to get them seperately, pretty sure Paul does them for about £6 each. If doing it, do all 6. Make sure you get the rubber breather pipes for betwen the cam covers if you don't already have them, or if you haven't done them recently. They will be very brittle if old, and will split when taken off.
  6. It most likely won't be the coil pack. It could be down to the spark plugs but the most likely cause would be the coil pack clips. Very common fault, happens to most of us at one time or another
  7. Glad she's going to be on the mend soon
  8. Na never did it bud. It was the fastest BPU I have been in/driven though. I even pulled (albeit slowly) from Chris with his Auto mines when I was only seeing 0.9-1.0bar (small RR) and he was set to 1.1bar. The guy who bought my Mines put up comparison between it and stock and the results are fantastic for it.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?253945-Finally-fitted-my-mines-ecu-(dyno-results-with-printout) I know what you are saying but I was thinking more fun in Japan than a permanent fixture. I wouldn't buy new, 2nd hand they come up for reasonable money and they are plug and play. You would get your money straight back when it came time to selling up too It's a good bit of kit
  9. Fooked coil pack clips by the sounds of it. What is your reason for changing the coilpack?
  10. I never seen stock power with my car but going from a MBC to an EBC brought about a similar revelation at the switchover, all thanks to the gain feature. Check it out A Mines ECU would just add to that mid power BTW
  11. Finished it properly last night (The story part). Just got the combo game to do, which to be honest I get fed up with really quickly so I might not even bother. All 400 Riddles done The identity killer is the butler
  12. You're in! For some reason John Lewis aren't listing it anymore so I ended up getting it from Dixons. Only 1 year from those guys
  13. Yes, but reporting the accident as having happened means it is recorded as you being in an accident. The question you get asked when getting insurance isn't for if a claim has been made, it simply asks if you have been involved in an accident in the last 5 years. When you select "yes" it asks if a claim was made (in this case it wouldn't be) and if so what the value of the claim was.
  14. He's already told his insurers about the accident though, whether he makes a claim or not is irrelevant. It makes no odds if it's a fault or non-fault accident (with or without 3rd parties), they still try to squeeze every last penny out of you regardless.
  15. I personally wouldnt have told the insurance company at all. They will have recorded the accident regardless of which route you now take so when you are asked "if you have had any accidents in the last 5 years regardless of fault" you now need to say yes as if you don't and you are in an accident they will pull it out the bag of tricks. Couple of hundered quid in getting that sorted out yourself if you source the wing. The rear quarter will pull out and with a bit of filler it would look perfect.
  16. In my defense (specially for H), I can't spell percentage.
  17. There will be a few additional costs such as boost sensors, map sensors, switches etc but there aren't any large costs IMO. The mapper will need to set up the traction control properly IIRC, you will need to let them know exactly what you want. They will charge a little extra but it won't be a silly amount. In the grand scale of things it would be silly not to go with the works for the sake of £100-200.
  18. You're thumb would do a good job Nut and bolt will work but you will need a good sized nut and bolt so that the seal is good, also you will need copper washers.. like the washers you mount them with
  19. I went to school with one of them (9 years, from primary right through), the other is a friend from the local Pub who I've known for a few years now. They are nice people and all, I just find the quality of written English hilarious (and cringeworthy). I'm not moaning, I just thought I would share my random thought of the moment while bored.
  20. The more and more people that I end up with on my facebook friends list, the more and more people I realise actually cannot spell at all. I remember an advert on the radio a while back saying about the %age of people in the UK who had "trouble with reading, writing and numbers" and it was so high that I just took it as a load of sales nonsense. However, the %age according to the facebook status updates that I keep seeing would suggest that they actually shot a little low of the mark. I know, I know... it says a lot about the type of people I have on my facebook but neverthe less. The one that had me spitting out my coffee 2 mins ago, and also got me to post up this thread, is the following.... "P******sssssssseeeeeddddd offffffffffffffff man a need a huge :-((((((" Some other quality remarks from today include... "Woohoo got ma babygirl's personalised voucher thru fur her crimbo fur her princess pout modelling photo-shoot cny wait, she's gawn to be gorjuss as per usual! Wae her hair n make-up dun tae,the pics r gawn to be fab " "Note to self ...... When ur in the shower, keep the dr LOCKED at ALL times! In the shower quite the hing n kin hear ma dr getting rattled, thot aww fk it al jist mang it as a wiz covered n bubbles! Nxt hing a hear HALLO,sumhin getting chucked oan the floor n the dr shutting, bloody delivery driver .... Didny even ken a wiz in,jist open sumdys dr that ye dnt know, its cool!!! Btr lock it case he cums bk hinken am no in:)" Feel free to share any gems from your "friends", even if it's only to show that I don't attract idiots.
