  5. well good luck to him, if he can get 6.5k then i wish him all the best:d according to his post he's only just got it and is lovin it? cant be lovin it that much can he??? oh hang on he is asking 6.5k so he must be intending to keep it for a very long time, like the ebay add though apparently these sportscars are becoming very rare, well yes at 6.5k for an N/A with 140 something thousand klicks on they would be:d Oh i also thought that if it was still resticted it was to 112mph, not 120mph woke up a bit picky this morning, think i will offer him 2.7k as no doubt thats all its worth at the moment in todays market:(
  6. im only round the corner, i could be the external verifyer and check out the video myself and try and give my opinion would be interesting to see the footage
  7. congrats of the day to you both:d
  8. The annoying thing to be honest is you have all the right knowledge and experience to be a first class cp operative but still before you can do it in civvy street you have to pay to be trained in something you do on a daily basis by companies that claim to have experience in the forces when clearly they havent, (maybe the salvation army but that doesnt count) I have no military experience and thats the first thing i tell anyone, all i have is experience in my job and usually honesty is appreciated. When/if you do decide to do a cp course apply for a grant from the forces resettlement people they will usually help towards it
  9. cheers, its a bloody nightmare to be honest, with the NVQ being free everyone just assumes that there is a catch and to persuade them different is a hard thing to do, but i suppose everyone feels the same "you get nothing for free" but in this case you do;) I havent done a website yet because to be honest i havent a bloody clue what to do:D, the company is a limited company i did that through Duport and i bank with the RBS who are a bloody waste of space but apart from that "next year we will be millionaires" (well in turkish lira anyway:p)
  10. who are you doing it with mate
  11. The cp course is the level 3 in close protection operations, its the standard SIA course but thats not cheap, there are other companies out there who will fly you to France etc for firearms training etc but unless you are planning doing hostile enviroment cp work then whats the point as you will never be allowed to carry one and in my opinion if you are doing hostile cp you should have at least 2 years military experience anyway due to the conditions, you cant just do a 140hr course and expect to be able to join Clearwater in the sandpit and perform competant cp work, plus if you are military trained why pay an extra £500-£600 to fire crappy "pop guns" in France, you should have the relevant experience, thats what i tell people, but if you just want to work cp/exec. protection over here in the UK then its the best option, but its not cheap, a cp course here would be around the £1500pp mark (min 6 pax) but most firms charge over 2 grand for the same course.
  12. I run the door supervisors (sia) course, its only the NVQ's that are free, but I train most of the SIA courses, I can do the door supervisor course for cost (cheapest in the country at last count) as I would run it alongside an NVQ in spectator safety, Lets put it this way most companies charge in excess of £140pp for their training I can do it (for a minimum of 8 people) for around the £80pp mark (maybe even cheaper)
  13. Cheers Pete, by the way how's the ps3?
  14. Before everyone thinks ive gone totally bananas opening a company in the middle of a recession I haven't, let me explain. After seeing different companies struggle with payments and invoices and after being layed off twice in 7 months I was banging my head against a brick wall so I jumped on the "train to gain" bandwagon, set up my own training center and now can provide free NVQ's to people in certain sectors. As some of you know I come from a security background and am a licenced trainer/assessor in all forms of security including close protection, because I am now registered with Edexcell and City & Guilds I have been lucky enough to be able to claim government funding for this, so without touting for business;);) I am able to provide NVQ level 2 certification in Customer Care, Spectator and Event Security, and Providing Security Services, these are all work based qualifications so basically if you have 6 or more people who would like a FREE NVQ (always looks good on the company portfolio) then we would come down to the place of work, assess the candidate (after signing them up) give them a few work related tasks etc and voila NVQ in the post in 6 weeks at no cost to the company or person doing it, I claim the funding back from the government, everyone is happy, so whilst im just starting if anyone does have a small/medium/large company (or works for one) who thinks they could benefit from this (customer care NVQ is universal) then please let me know, one thing I will say if i get any work from the club then I will donate 10% of the funding to a charity of the clubs choosing (and you can hold me to that:))
