  1. So what about baffle's, does that mean for example the Blitz Baffle for the Nur Spec R once fitted will cause alot of back pressure and raise the EGT's too high...... or are exhaust specific baffles ok to use?
  2. Iv now connected the that wire back together and O/D and Slip Control are still flashing. does anyone have any ideas. Have I broke something.
  3. It was a grey wire with a red stripe I cut, is this the right one?
  4. Hi guys, Iv just fitted the thor FCD and when I was finished I went to go for a run and O/D and Slip control keep flashing on and off at me, What have I done? I tried resetting the ECU but its just the same. Please help
  5. thanks that was helpfull. What do you use to insulate the wiring. It says to use crimp connectors, are they ok to use on there own and is the blue coating on them affected by the fuel?
  6. hi guys, I am going to change my fuel pump in the very near future and I have just watched this http://www.mkivstore.com/edu/fuelpump.wmv but I was just wondering which wires you cut. is it the blue and the black? if so which one is positive (I would think the blue but thought I would ask first)
  7. lol, ok I never had a performance exhaust but they even walked around the back of the car before they said that and it was like a pea shooter. (It was only a crappy 1.4 1991 estate)
  8. I agree, you would think that they would have better things to do than to pull young kids driving moded cars. I once got pulled in my Astra estate (first car donated from parents) for wheel spinning and being out of control of my vehicle and having an exhaust that was too loud, and guess what. I never wheel spun at all it was my fan belt that decided to squeek and I didnt even have an exhaust I think they just like picking on kids, what a waste of our money
  9. Iv got a Civic (got it last year for christmas) A supra shell would be nice though
  10. would this do? http://www.driftworks.com/catalog/product_info.php?pName=exhaust-gasket-3-hole&cName=enginetuning-exhaust&osCsid=e72d8d3051a66325f3167d7f23058d6f
  11. is the paste just something like Holts Fire Gum?
  12. oh well, might just use paste. Do the gaskets exist then?
  13. Can you make a gas tight joint just out of paste? I thought it would just blow out.
  14. Whifbitz, when they had the sale on at the beginning of the month but it never came with gaskets or bolts so Im trying to find them. Iv bought most the gaskets and ss bolts off ebay but just cant find the funny shaped 3holed gasket anywhere
  15. me please, Iv tried everywhere on the net and cant find what im looking for, my head feels like this
  16. Iv recently bought everything I need to go fully BPU (all sitting in my room) but before I fit the exhaust I need new gaskets. Iv found and about to order most of them but Im finding it hard to find the 3 bolt gasket that goes onto one end of the first decat pipe. Does anyone know what size bore I should buy and where from? My decat pipes are 2.5" bore but what size bore comes from the turbo side, is it 3", do any of these fit? http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/Product-14.aspx
  17. hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone knows a good place to get exhaust gakets and some stainless steel exhaust bolts for my j spec tt. I bought the 2.5" whifbitz decats and im getting a blitz nur spec R exhaust so I will need the gasket between the down pipe and the first decat and gaskets for the rest (another 4 I believe) I tried the motofactor places around mine but no one can get them. Any ideas and roughly how much would I be looking at?
  18. So the temp of the air going into an open cone filter can be 20 deg's more than temp of the air that would flow through the original air box. I gues I was a bit out then but what difference does it make after the turbos have added their heat? surely the temps going into the intercooler arnt going to be 20 deg more aswell are they? you may expect a slight differnce but . . . . . arrrr, I dont know, might go to bed and watch the rest of shameless (I know its poo but its funny)
  19. no not at all just that such a little differnce in temperature going into the tubbies (when they are so hot) shouldnt make the same difference when it comes out and into the intercooler
  20. thats just a gues but how much hotter can the air get it cannot get that hot because when the cars moving there is 'fresh' air getting blown about the engine bay aswell, I guess it could get quite hot in the bay if you ragged the car about and let it sit but moving surly it couldnt get more than 10 deg difference. but I may be wrong
  21. but intake temps at the filter would only be 10 deg higher in the engine bay max I would think and if you think about how hot the tubbies run (above 700deg) whether the air is going in to them at 20deg or 30deg the turbos would be that hot the air coming out of them into the intercooler will pick up serious heat either way and its then down to the outside air temp to keep the intercooler cold. Just my opinion but I would think even a 10 deg difference in air temp going into the tubbies it wouldnt be 10deg higher when it came out. they would probably be the same.
  22. I would really like to sell them both together but if imi still wants the filter (£20 giving £5 for delivery) I would ideally be after £35+delivery (never checked but its big and I would gues it would be about £10) hope thats ok.
  23. I must agree and have thought about this myself. On a turbo car it shouldnt matter what temperature air is going through the open cone filter as it gets heated up by the turbos and then goes through the intercooler, I think on hot days it doesnt have much to do with the hot air going through the filter but more to do with the air not being as cold to cool the intercooler, different story on a n/a I would think
  24. thanks guys, I forgot to ask the most important question [OOPS][/OOPS] but thanks for the quick response. Il sent him my money now. got all the bits to go BPU once I get that exhaust, cant wait Thanks again
