  1. Hi angus, good to see your still around and glad to see your still enjoying the supra, you'll like it more when BPU. I'm running abit more boost now than when we met but I could still do with an electronic boost controller to keep it at 1.2bar in the summer. Hope you enjoy it. . . . You should pop along to some of the local meets that Liam keeps organising, it's a good way to meet others from the club and have a look at other car's (and get idea's for your own )
  2. As in the title. I fancy having my soop put on the rolling road to see how its performing and to check the AFR. I'v not done this yet since going BPU and should really have it checked out.
  3. Very helpfull. thank you very much Looks like I might give this ago myself. I dont have a fields harness, they are a tad expensive and I can get it fitted for the same price of buying the harness so it would be false economy really (even though it would make it easier)
  4. Do the same installation instructions apply to a J-spec?
  5. Hi guy's, Im going to recieve my RLTC unit some time in the near future and I'm thinking of installing it myself. Have any of you done this before and have pictures of wiring locations etc. I have a 93 GZ (TT auto). Any pics or instructions would be a great help. I've done a search but cant find a 'guide' if you like on how to fit it just lots of descussions and info on the vvti models
  6. You've all probably seen this but I think it's great http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbLr2NEV_7o
  7. Are you saying it starts banging when just the pilot light is on? Or when It is on full flame and then it all cut's off? What boiler do you have?
  8. RLTC should help traction in the wet around corners giving you a better chance
  9. It's 'driving the dreams' motor, he's a member on here. I met his brother when he was driving it, nice car. I have a friend interested in it aswel
  10. I dont think you would make 13psi on the first turbo and if you did it wouldnt last long. Try a manual boost controller (£15 or so) and try and increase the boost of tubbie 2.
  11. Well we have a place but no time. . . . what about somewhere between 11 and 12 or something. I would like to come to another meet, the last one was good despite the weather. If this is going ahead I need to take my fiance to work in the morning so I have the car for the day.
  12. Does anywhere know where you can buy RLTC for a reasonable price? I'm just after the basic model. I was also reading this thread http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=124 Will all the RLTC units still be the same? In other words will I have to have a new 'data map' if you like added, or will it be fine as it is? Thanks for any info guy's
  13. whats exactly happening this sunday guy's? are we meeting up then going else where or are we staying put at the pub? How many people are going? and what time is everyone meeting?
  14. Looks like CW pads or hawk's are the ones to buy. Thank's for the advice guy's I'm looking forward to getting the brakes sorted as the car still has what was on from japan They could be anything, I dont even know what fluid is in there so I bet this little setup makes quite a big difference, I'm looking forward to being able to press the brakes hard with confidence.
  15. ahh, just found out that alana (my fiance) works with his dad small world aint it. Why is he selling up?
  16. My list keeps getting longer maybe a poll is in order.
  17. Thank's guy's and thanks for the info Gaz
  18. Just seeing if anyone own's this car http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130150073909&indexURL=0&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting as I have a friend interested in it
  19. sorry Gaz I'll get them on there. What pads do you recommend for jap brakes? I dont do track day's and I would say it is quite important that I get good bite from cold aswell as a pad material that can handle high temps for those spirited moments
  20. I thought there was only one rail show's how much use I am. Do you have any pics of the underneath of a supra you could highlight for me (if it's not asking too much) It sounds like it is damage caused by jacking but I'v not seen it yet.
  21. hi guy's, I'm saving to upgrade my brakes and hopefully will have enough cash soon I know I'm going to get :- Goodridge braided lines DOT 5.1 Fluid 3G drilled and grooved disks But I'm just not sure where to put my money when it comes to brake pads. . . . I have been looking at :- EBC redstuff TRD Black Fast Road Pads CW fast road pads Mintex extreme pads - Can you get them for the rear (jap brakes) as I can only find them for the front's Endless SSS Hawk Brembo Has anyone had any experience with the above? what did you think of them? I thought I would ask first so I dont waste my money:) Thank's guy's.
  22. Thank's chris, I was hoping you might see this so it would be fine aslong as it doesnt affect the car and it's not crushed to death. I'll let him know.
