  1. This thread is interesting http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=127176&highlight=hybrids&page=2 and if your upto it there is a 'recipe' if you like in post '19' courtesy of Kranz (aka K14 SUP) for a good set of turbo's especially if you want to be different. Have a look.
  2. I was just wondering, is the bonnet on the supra made of aluminium? what are the other panels made from?
  3. Oh my god, that is cheap for an N/A especially if it was a manual N/A. Someone is going to get a really good deal (I think this is the cheapest TT I have ever seen ) unless the price goes up (which I and others think you should seriously consider doing)
  4. That looks nice, different aswell, good choice. How does it look on the car?
  5. Thank's for the compliment I live in Westerhope, only about 5-10mins from the rugby club so not far at all. The Teakwan-do is fun and the instructor is very good, I would recomend it to anyone that would like to keep/get fit and learn how to defend themselves. I usually go on a wed (starts at 8:30pm) and a Sun (starts at 6:00pm). How's the gym? I can see it from where I we do teakwando but I always wondered how good it was. Anyway, glad to see another local supra enthusiast, I might catch you one day before I start What are driving at the mo? I had a look in your garage but there are no pics.
  6. I think you can count me in aswell but I will clarify that when the other half when she get's in (she will kill me for buying more bits for the car )
  7. So are these £65 a pair, ready to fit? How much is P&P? thanks
  8. That looks nice, I always wondered what black lights would look like on a silver car, nice job. What did you use to make them black inside?
  9. It was me I was just on my way to Teakwan-do at the rugby club. I saw two people watching me on my left hand side, was that you?
  10. Very nice car, love the colour it's my fav on supra's and top of my list if I get a re-spray. Anyway shame your seeling such a lovely example but good luck with the sale.
  11. Well it looks like if your going to sell your supra, sell it abroad
  12. The local BP garage at mine recently turned into a shell garage but then when I went to fill up with V-power I found out it was 112.9p/l I thought they were having a laugh, it only costs about 103.9 or something at a shell garage about 3-4miles away. Anyway I filled up and then discovered that my local tesco extra (about1-2miles away) now sells 99ron fuel and it's only 100p/l (no 0.9 or anything and exact £1/l) I was well chuffed and have found myself a new garage.
  13. Thanks for the advise. I think I will use the castrol dexron 3 then for a sump change Easy to get a hold of aswell.
  14. I used halfords advanced stuff (or what ever it's called) anyway it's red and is an ethylene glycol based antifreeze (I think that's the important bit) and cost £12 for 5L concentrate (with trade card) I think it was £15 normally. Isnt the red 4 life stuff pre mixed? If so you would need 2 bottles. I think the supra takes 9L of fluid. So it would cost you £35.88 from toyota or about £15 from halfords (1 5L concentrate).
  15. A little late but when I changed my brakes and lines I had the engine running all the time during bleeding. I think it may have been Mr Wilson that suggested it to help bleed through the ABS system aswell (sorry if im wrong here chris )
  16. :rlol:oh this thread really did make me chuckle, can't beat a bit of toilet humour, even if it is about dog's.
  17. I think they are somewhere between 400-450bhp at 1bar arent they. (maybe wrong so dont take as deffinate)
  18. Unlucky but a second hand set of tubo's normally only cost's about £300 and would bolt straight on
  19. What fluid did you use in the end? Also can using the wrong fluid really do that much damage? Is there something I should really try and avoid
  20. Well I have looked into this and all the previous threads I could find all recommended Toyota type 4 auto transmission fluid. To cut a story short I went to my local toyota dealer this morning just to be told they dont sell the stuff and that any ATF fluid would do. I told the guy that I didnt know what was in there to start with but it would probably be type2 or type4 and I told him that I heard type3 doesnt mix very well. He then ploded away and came back and said the same thing (any ATF will do) and then told me that they just use BP stuff and that they have had a few supra's in before and used that stuff and all was good (which may be worrying) anyway, is there any alternative to type4 that doesnt cost the earth? All I want to do is change the 2L's in the sump to give a bit of a re-fresh if you like. Would any odf the castrol ATF's be ok (something I can just pick up at halfords)
  21. The Uk model is slightly heavier, came with glass headlight's, headlight washers, heated seat's, cruise control (so do some JDM cars) Bonnet vent, steel internall turbo's (J-spec has ceramic) slightly larger cam's, larger injectors, larger fuel pump and more rust. Im sure there will be some more things that I missed
  22. and I was under the impression that the UK turbos were actually smaller in size (well slightly) but could take more boost due to the steel internals, or did I pick something up wrong somewhere down the line.
  23. Is it modded or standard? Usually a modified vehicle is harder to selll and most the time a modded vehicle tends to sell for less the standard version (Badly modded corsa'a, clio's etc) because they dont appeal to people very much, however it seems to be the other way round with these cars, the more modded they are the more they are worth (to a certain degree).
