You dont have a spare door barrel and key do you? Dont know if it makes a difference but it's the passanger side that someone kindly attacked and broke that needs replacing

Thanks for the replies guy's I think I may go with the Fuchs oil seen as it seems to be good product and at a reasonable price (dont get that often in the same sentence now-a-days)

Hi guy's, I'm just wondering if any of you know how Fuchs TITAN SUPERSYN 5W-40 high performance, fully synthetic, engine oil compares to Silkolene Pro S 5w40 fully synthetic engine oil? Im asking because I could do with changing the oil soon and read that Fuchs ownes (if you like) Silkolene. Now the Fuchs stuff has the same ACEA ratings as Silkolene (A3, B3) and I would assume they would share the same technologys in oil production (or maybe not) anyway, the main reason for this is becasue the Fushs stuff is £5.99/l compared to Silkolene's £9.99/l.

bringing this back up I took the solenoid apart today and all looks fine (no splits etc) I also checked as many vacuum hoses as I could see and again everything looks fine. Do the solenoids expell excess pressure at all? I cant seem to find where this noise is coming from but I am certain I have a boost leak of some sort as my boost level's (measured from the EBC and a MBC) seem to be constantly getting lower and the noise is getting louder, the car also doesnt feel as though it's pulling as well as it used to god damn boost problems:angry:

Hi guy's, I recently installed a blitz DSBC spec R which seems to work fine. When set to off it gives me just under 1bar boost, I have the other 4 settings set between 1bar upto1.2bar. When I have it turned off the car sounds fine, pulls a little slower than when the vsv was controlling the wastegate but I figured that’s because the wastegate will be constantly open when in the off position. Anyway, when I turn the boost controller onto any of the settings and floor it, it sounds like there is a boost leak coming from around the front drivers side area (the solenoid is also located in this area). Is this normal? The EBC will still increase boost up to 1.2bar fine but I have been worried as if there is a boost leak the turbo's will be working harder to create and maintain the boost wont they? Another thing I was wondering is if the HKS SSQV I have installed would interfere with EBC as it reacts on pressure difference (as far as I know) and the Blitz EBC pulsates through both solenoids so could it cause the dump valve to open and close constantly while boost is climbing? I have checked all the intercooler connections and made sure all clips are tight. I am quite sure that it is not a hose problem. Ay ideas?

I use 5w40 proS in mine with the same filter. The filter looked really small when I got it (especially against the one I took off) but I guessed its design would allow it to filter well and still flow enough oil through it for the supra engine. Anyway I have had no bother with it and would use both again. Infact an oil change is due shortly good for the car, bad for the wallet

I need a passenger side door barrel to replace the mess I was left with after an attempted break in. I don’t know if it matters but my car is a 93 GZ. The existing barrel has some sort of wiring to it (central locking maybe) anyway if anyone has one or can point me in the right direction I would be grateful. I know I may end up with an odd key but I never use the key to get in the car anyway as my alarm gives me remote central locking so it wouldnt be the end of the world

I now run 1.2bar (max) using a Blitz DSBC with the second cat still in and I have no issues at all. I usually run at less than 1bar with it turned off for almost all my everyday driving but it's nice to have the extra power at a turn of a knob

Thank's for the compliment Still got a few things to do before it's finished but it's getting there The boxes for the subs took some building with the supra boot being so shallow and the shape around the rear arches etc. The idea was to have one box that looks nice and tidy and keep most the boot space, but then when I made one I thought what the hell, I'll make another for the other side

Iv attatched a pic of a headlight and was wondering what the light on the far left is for? I know the sidelight is the teardrop shaped bit on the bottom inbetween the far left light and the middle light (which is the dipped beam) and the high beam is the large one on the right. I cant seem to get the small left light to do anything even though it has bulbs and are connected (both sides)

Also if you dont mind, where in the country are you?

Just to update this and for anyone who is interested. I wiped the gunk of the filler cap and took it for a couple good drives (and a couple more short trips to work ) and then a 3 hour drive upto Scotland (all in the last week) and there is no more sign of the gunk coolant levels etc are all fine as well. Looks like it must have been due to all the short journeys and the cold weather, good news for the engine and my wallet Another oil change will be getting done soon as that episode couldnt have been good for it.

I have an old set of front disk's after replacing them with 3G disk's I'v been meaning to put up for sale. They look like they still have plenty life left in them as well. I cant put any pics up just yet but I'll be back home either tomorrow or wed and can get some then I also have rear disk's if they are needed.
