  1. tell me how you can mod a sealed pump?,other way is to modify cage like daman, imho thats a no go....no disrespect daman. trust me i made the same mistake!
  2. 342 is definately for the N/a and 341 is for the TT, Both are exactly same pumps although the filter is facing the other way and connecting pipework will not fit correctly when pump is situated.
  3. hi. just a quick question, because ive heard it mentioned in various forums that BOV is a bad idea ..when the bov has let out the pressure from the system the turbos will then have to spool up again to pressurise the system therefore it is causing your turbos to work harder to keep the pressure in the system(ie. lag) and the stock one is there to protect the stock ic not to sound nice. would anyone agree here, never had much to do with them but it does seem feesable to me? also dosent the actuators control your turbos spooling? so when you decelarate or change gear your actuator stops the turbo accordingly, but it dosent stop dead? so why use a BOV?
  4. hi maz. i have the one in the 3rd link, pipes are here m8: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220055546892&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=012 andy p.s why a BOV on the pipes???
  5. hi mate not had chance to go through your parts here yet, should have my tranny for next friday so ill know exactly what i need.will get back to you soon. andy
  6. ive just heard the clip, definately not knock sensors, sounds more like a squeel from the clip.aircon pump??try turning that on/off and see if it makes any difference.
  7. you could try the front or rear knock sensors located on the passenger side of the block, both are about midway down and run paralel with each other, sorry but i cant hear your clip at the moment but i know these knock badly when gone, and its quite a simple task to elliminate. hope this helps and ill try to get ur clip working
  8. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220055546892&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=012 try here mate!
  9. w58 should be able to handle the torque but as said its on the boundry,it depends how your gonna treat it and also how it has been treated in the past, the best way forward is to go with the r154 box from the mk3 turbo with a 1jz bellhousing from the 2.5 mk3 turbo, still worth taking the w58 through its paces if you can be arsed with swaping the box as its a much smoother box. clutch will be the main issue tho,the r154 box is better as it has the pull type clutch like the v160/1's(much more heavy duty), you can then use the mk3 turbo flywheel/clutch setup which is more suited, bear in mind stick shifter need modding on r154 pulling back 100mm to fit jza80 chassis and shifter linkage. got both setups here but gone a different route. andy
  10. hi mate, far from it.the aristo has a large grey connector which replaces e10 pins from the ecu so it only uses 2 of the 40 pin connectors of the ecu-e9 pins, and no orange and grey connectors to go to the left kickpannel?
  11. I have some fronts mate(speakers and original mounts)....pm me your offer cheers andy

  17. hi mate how much do you wanna pay? pm me andy
  18. hi mate, looks like u have the same situation as me gareth. looks like you can get around it as far as i can see, 1 way is to buy: T44337-24020 is union fitting for p/s pump, youll have one of these already if you have a tt,thats the intake union that fits to the pump itself.buy another one and have the two o ring ends brazed together one on the res and the new one so that the res has a normal pipe outlet like the stock tt one.all you have to do then is cut a length of hose, as for the bracket, just fabricate an extension or modify your one to fit, but i would certainly make a bracket extension to fit the n/a mounting and you can use your chassis holes for the original tt res as the mounting holes are already there, that way the out take pipe is facing the correct way. hope this helps andy p.s are the sideskirts coming on ok?
  19. hi mate, sorry but i do not wanna split the two boxes, I paid £180 for the R154 box so i would like somewhere close to that with a bit of negotiation (its a very clean box), w58 box im open to offers but probably around £150 is about right i think. Both are very good trannys let me know andy
  20. hi trig, yes its made specially for the mk4 n/a, bolt straight up with no hastle, theres even the mounting for sensor so no issues there. cost me £135 9 months ago, make me an offer mate. andy
