  1. I`ve just put this on flea bay (sorry no link, don`t know how to do this). It`s in mint condition with home made green LED under body lighting. Everything you need to run it is included, even got the instruction manual. It`s only had 10 tanks of fuel put through it to run the engine in, this was done on a bench with a cooling fan to be safe. If someone could find this on ebay and sort out the link thing for everyone I would be most grateful:d
  2. That should be fine then. Existing points will have been tested to British standards, so no need for the spreader plates. I would apply some decent thread locking agent (Loctite 638) on assembly just to be on the safe side though;)
  3. 7/16" UNF is definately the correct thread for seat belts, I worked for Britax for five years and fitted many many belts. I have looked at your link to ebay and the bolts look about the same as ones we used. Where are you intending to fit these? Into an existing belt anchoring point or somewhere else?
  4. Thanks for all the advice, especially Extendor. Looks like I need to do a little more research here:rolleyes:
  5. Are there any Solidworks or Autocad users here that could advise me about the best monitor to look for. I will be buying a new Dell tower after christmas, and am now thinking that my 19 inch, 8 year old crt monitor could be past It`s best!
  6. Hopefully here is a pic of a Kawasaki 750 Turbo that I restored and owned a few years ago. The only successful turbocharged bike to be commercially produced!
  7. Not seen these before, very funny!! My cat Bluebird did everything apart from the baseball bat in cat man do to me this morning at around 4am[ANGRY][/ANGRY]
  8. I`m not aware of Hammerite doing a kit. If your calipers have already been done with Foliatec check that Hammerite does`nt react with it by applying a small dab and letting it cure fully. If your calipers are unpainted use plenty of spray on brake cleaner before painting. I`ve also heard of people using Humbrol model enamel paints with good results.
  9. Take a look at the Vango range of tents. The brand has been around for ages and they are well designed as well as hard wearing. I would steer clear of Royal as a manufacturer, we bought a Royal two years ago and it now leaks badly and has ripped in various places. A Geodesic dome design is very stable in high winds. Finally, bear in mind that what is advertised as a three person tent is actually a spacious two person tent!
  10. That`s one clean looking car, but please don`t attack your exhaust with a wire brush:( Try some Autosol with a polishing mop and a drill, this should take the tarnishing off.
  11. I have all three, used for 20,000 miles. You are welcome to them if you can cover the postage cost. pm me if you`re interested:)
  12. Get in touch with the guy that designed the kit, Trev Langfield at wizards of nos. He can probably send you installation info that he sends out with each new kit. Be careful installing the bottle, if it has a syphon tube inside it the tap should be higher than the bottom of the bottle. Please be aware that the gas leaves the bottle at 800 PSI with a temperature of minus 128 c, this can cause freeze burns. Check that the fuel solenoids are working properly before firing the nos, nos without extra fuel = detonation! Finally, make sure that your ignition system is in perfect condition as nos needs a healthy spark to ignite the extra fuel charge.
  13. Damn it!! I wish I wasn`t such a complete dreamer...........................or I`d snap this up:d
  14. I had a similar experience with the locking wheel nuts on a Renault Megane, I ended up parking close to a wall and wedging bits of metal between the wrench and the wall to stop the thing camming out. Last week while removing the rear wheels on the Supe, I sheared the end off of my Halfords 1/2" extension:(
  15. That`s a damn good price for the work involved. It does seem alot of work to get done in an hour though. I guess they did adjust the geometry if you found it different to drive, not just a measure and print out. This is basically all I got for £120:(
  16. If the alarm itself is working and the only problem is the LED staying on, don`t worry, the LED only draws milli amps and has no chance of killing your battery. If the alarm is malfunctioning try disconnecting your gauge, not too sure on this, but if the cigar lighter feed is not switched via the ignition the alarm could be seeing a volt drop. This may prevent it from arming correctly.
  17. Congratulations to you both:) Britax baby seats are the safest way to transport your little bundle of fun IMHO;)
  18. I have the same problem with my lowered j spec. I`ve found that I can jack the front by sliding a trolley jack in just behind the front wheel and lifting up on the lower wishbone pivot. You may need someone to gently lift the wing for better access, hope this helps:)
  19. Hi there mate. Do it, people will still say "nice FTO" , so you`re not really a traitor:D Welcome to the club!
  20. Hi there mate, if you get really stuck and require Helicoils I can do this for you - no charge. I`m in Surrey, so a little bit of travelling for you! Maybe cheaper than buying a Helicoil set though.
  21. Welcome to the family Rob, hope you find your dream car soon[GRIN][/GRIN]
