My first 'big bike' was a restricted GSX 600 FV and then moved up to a GSXR 600 SRAD as my riding, awareness and confidence improved. I did it the longer way and spent a while on a 125cc, did my test on that, rode a 33bhp restricted and then moved up to a more powerful machine. I'm not a believer in the DAS courses that means you can after only a week of riding go out and buy yourself an R1 or a Busa or whatever. These courses tend to teach you how to pass, but really not how to ride. I hate to say it but a lot of lives have been lost this way IMHO. Going on that, my advice would be one step at a time, kit yourself out with decent kit, get a nice sized bike but not a balls out crotch rocket, really learn how to ride and then over time get something sportier if you so choose.

What's your biking experience so far? You done your CBT and everything already?

If I had the money at the moment, I would buy this for the missus, but got far too many motors as it is and can't justify another one. -
I watch this as well, I don't think they have made a single car that looked as if it was safe!! The VW they knocked up for Vegas was hiddeous, though the one that they did for Ginola looked OK, but I'm not sure about getting into it!!!

Guys, I know that some of you might be interested in a little project so I'm putting this link up here as a favour to the guy I run the Club Aristo forums with (I've had a squint at the rules and I think this is OK, let me know if it isn't please). Due to unforseen circumstances this rare 6 speed Aristo (formerly DB's and then Tom S's) is up for grabs again, but at a bargain basement price! http://clubaristo.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19621 Utterly insane price for the car, if I didn't have so many cars at the moment then I would snap this up myself!

Sold as spares or repair, no warranty implied or given. Up for sale is my 1997 Suzuki GSX 600 FV, registered on a 'P' plate that I bought on the 2nd August 2007. It has 8 former keepers. The bike was last on the road a year or so ago and the last MOT ran out on March 4th 2008. It has been dry stored and unused since then due to me getting my GSXR. It was my first big bike and has 27,562 genuine miles on the clock. The V5 is present as are all the previous MOT's and pretty comprehensive service history and receipts. See pictures below. I got her running at the weekend after being laid up for 7 months and she ticks over nicely apart from a fuel leak which I am guessing is down to a hose perforating due to the amount of time she's been laid up. The battery is shot to pieces so will need a new one too. I had the carbs balanced just before I took it off the road as I had the 33bhp restrictor kit removed. This will come with the bike if wanted. It's in pretty good condition for it's age, there are some cracks in the lower fairing, a few spots of rust on the exhaust and here and there. The clutch cable needs replacing and a new cable is supplied for the job. It is stock apart from a Nexus sports exhaust, which is believed to be stainless and the addition of a cat 1 alarm system. There is also a tinted blue flip screen that will come with it if wanted. I will dig out some pictures of it with that in place. Just to make absolutely clear, it has NO MOT, NO Road Fund Licence and will need to be trailered away, unless you live round the corner and want to push it. The bike is located in Southsea, Hampshire. Research the products you sell thoroughly. Nothing more annoying then someone calling on the blag and doesn't even know their own product range.

The fact that there is already a website pointing out 'interesting' sightings sums up my feelings on it! For instance 3 or 4 pics down is the pic of someones car and it's location stating that it's fully loaded and he may use an iPod to listen to his music. Sort of enciting people to go smash his windows in the hope of gain from theft. Sites like this are bound to spring up perving on people, laughing at people and so on and so forth. Essentially, due to being caught on camera in a compromising pose or whatever, you could rocket to internet fame and never live it down. You know how fast things can spread on the internet. Too right it's an invasion of privacy if you ask me nothing to do with being full of self importance or whatever claptrap people want to spout. http://www.gstreetsightings.com/

Though I have never liked her from her many media appearances due to 'fame' from Big Brother and the way that she had been milking the money from the press for her story, I feel sorry for her kids today. Passing away on Mothers Day makes it especially poignant for her kids, as if it wasn't hard enough for them anyway. She has at least raised awareness and as a result smear tests and screening figures are way up, which is only a good thing. She has set her kids up for life and hopefully will rest in peace.

Very sad news indeed, my condolences to family and friends

What makes you think that people who don't like it are "full of your own self-importance"?

The system sucks from start to finish, from the Doctors that write these plebs up and sign them off work to get them out of their surgery to the piss poor computer and manual systems that they have in place in the dole office. It is getting better, but it's in a terrible state at the moment. It's not just these people that should be prosecuted, there should be investigations into the Docs too that help these people on their quest to bludge off the state. There has been a few of these come to light, like the guy who was caught claiming disability due to back troubles who tripped himself up by running the London Marathon and getting himself in the paper. He managed to complete the Marathon and a host of other fun runs when he was supposed to be bed ridden.

Quite a few Ferrari's up in that neck of the wood, Chalfont St Peter and all that. Lovely

That sort of sums up how I feel about it, yes anyone can walk past your property, but having pictures of your property, with you possibly in them, on the net for all to see without your permission is a step too far. I'll be investing in a PO Box I think for any of my eBay purchases from now on.

Congratulations, it''s a great feeling passing your bike test

You could do that before this 'upgrade' though with Aerial views and Birds-Eye view, this is taking it 1 step too far IMO. I don't know why, but it just doesn't sit quite right with me.
