    N/A purchase

I know, I know! Yes it's controversial and really a bit tongue in cheek More trying to persuade a potential NA owner to switch to buying a TT whilst there's still time left lol I'm just very turbo biased. Cheers, Brian.

    N/A purchase

Welcome to the fold I personally don't see the interest in buying an N/A Supra. They are more expensive to insure and lack the performance of the real Supra Give the Supra a bad name cos people in Scoobies race them and then brag to their m8s they just beat a Supra Especially if you want to mod, no point buying the N/A cos you'll only end up trying to sell it so you can buy a TT. But then maybe you just want the pose factor of the gorgeous Supra, without the go. Fair enough in that case lol Cheers, Brian.
  5. You guys sound like you're catching the drift bug http://www.ukd1.com Brian.
  6. Yep it's the oil level warning light, the red one is the oil pressure warning light (if this one comes on your engine's already goosed). If it keeps coming on, check for oil leaks around the oil pressure switch. Mine went and started pissing oil. The part is about £12 from Toyota and it took me a couple of hours to fit mine. HTH, Brian.
  7. Bayside Blue? Looks Bling
  8. Try CRD for their Gold Supra. Almost guaranteed winner considering it's likely to produce more HP than the rollers can read. http://www.caldermotor.co.uk to contact them, but I'm not sure they've got their engine back from the machine shop yet - the block was in for a rebore and they had new pistons coming in from the states. Brian.
  9. Is it me or does that site smack of linney.org? I smell fish lol. Nice cars though!
  10. Yes, check the site. Seems to be a pretty major brake parts supplier.
  11. Just found them on this site: http://www.brakeparts.co.uk/ Front Left Brake Caliper - £69.10 (4-pot) Front Right Brake Caliper - £69.10 (4-pot) Front Left Brake Disc - £50.32 (323mm x 30mm) Front Right Brake Disc - £50.32 (323mm x 30mm) Front Brake Pad Set - £22.21 (For 4-pot calipers) Front Total - £261.05 ------------------------------------------------------------ Rear Left Brake Caliper - £64.62 Rear Right Brake Caliper - £64.62 Rear Disc - £77.66 each (323mm x 21mm) - x2 Rear Brake Pad Set - £21.29 (Square pads) Rear Total - £305.85 ------------------------------------------------------------ Grand Total - £566.90 ^^ What d'yas think? Brian.
  12. Surely the cost of 2x stock turbo's + stock manifold and all related VSV gubbins etc from Toyota would be more expensive than a single kit? But then again the car is likely a write off if your replacing engine parts as the result of a smash....

    Dynos

Make sure it's a wideband lambda sensor they use! As many RR's seem to use narrowbands which are useless when it comes to tuning. HTH, Brian.
  14. Howabout here Terry: http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/ ^^ £150 HTH, Brian.
  15. Not interested in the whole argument over moderation etc. etc. but I can see Dude's point concerning the investment needed with a Skyline Vs. Supra to run 10's or lower. Really interested in this drag Skyline being imported that could win TOTB4..... could someone post a link to info about the car etc. or PM if need be? Cheers, Brian.

    Hi

No, the reason it's colder is to stop the spark plug igniting the mixture in the cylinder before it's fired by the ignition, due to higher combustion temperatures. IE it takes more heat for it to fire when it shouldn't hence colder. HTH, Brian.

    Hi

Wrong way about Steve.... increased boost requires colder plugs. Denso's are expensive... NGK Coppers will do the same job for around £8 a set of 6 from most motor factors. One or two grades colder than stock dependant on boost level. Welcome to the club Scarface Brian.

My bro just put one on his ST205 GT4..... car revs more freely now (and drops revs more freely), it's combined with a 590lb/ft torque rated paddle clutch and drives just like stock, just a little rattle moving off if you don't have the revs high enough. HTH, Brian.
  20. Yep, mainly cos big twins are parallel in operation and it's 3xcylinders worth of exhaust gases to power each turbo....... with a big single it's 6xcylinders worth of exhaust gases to power the only turbo. In most cases that's gotta be more efficient and less laggy than big twins. HTH, Brian.

    fao dude

lotus - it has 320bhp standard IMO...... reason I say this is because I had my previous silver supra TT dyno'd and it made 323bhp...... totally standard auto again. I ran a 13.812 sec 1/4 mile in the silver car and a 13.813 in your black veilside with near identical 60ft times at Crail up here. The JDM car figure of 280bhp is utter bollocks IMO as I think I mentioned to you and Jusie....... that's only the quoted figure because of the jap manufacturers 'gentlemans agreement' that this would be the maximum power produced by their cars. Brian.
  22. You probably did but I was too busy tryin to sus out if it was your skyline lol
  23. Looking great guys mmmmmmmm very tasty So glad you bought it and not someone that would've hidden it away for the rest of it's days lol Bling bling on the gold badges touch hehe Cheers for sharing! Brian.
  24. Adam - think I saw you in your skyline going home on the A71 on Friday, about 5pm we crossed paths around dalmahoy, I was in the S13 and noticed your front mount. Bri.
