    Are us blacks suitably represented????
  3. How do you know that Gaz??? Am I missing something on the fleabay ad??
  4. This is good too. Look at the end of each section where it has the heading The Law. http://www.governornet.co.uk/linkAttachments/GTTL%202006%20amendment%201%20full%20version.pdf
  5. Don't forget the Criminal Justice act 1988 Section 139A(1) - Posession of a knife on school premises.
  6. There's a stop microswitch that's activated when the wiper is close to the stop position. So, when you start the wipers going then switch them off when the microswitch is still activated (and the blades are very close to the stop position) they do what they're supposed to and stop. If you do it when its half way across the screen whet does it do then??
  7. And a pair of new tubbies too !! Glad it is all ok for ya mate. Enjoy the new
  8. Nope, it would be polished smooth by the ring as it passes. Also the rings turn as the engine runs, so it won't be the same part of the ring going over it again and again. Looks like it'll be no problem.
  9. Anyone know who's it is?? I've seen it in Lancing, W. Sussex. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180038472083

    5K track car

I have a Westfield SEight 3.5 V8i thats only done 800 miles..... anyone????
  11. I think I have this nailed! Silicon is commonly around 10 ppm in Supra engines at 3000 miles of oil use. So 30 ppm at 6000 miles isn't far from what should be. My Supra shows between 11 & 13 at 3000 mile changes. Another Supra has shown 20 at 6000 miles. Its possble that changing the air filter actually caused some sand to get into the clean side of the housing, increasing the readings. You changed the air filter sometime between the two samples???

    Big Intake

You won't have to cut the plenum back by the #6 intake runner as you're not LHD like the one in the pic???? Doing this like in the pic will hurt distribution to that cylinder. Really you want it to be sloped the other way so there's more volume for the #6 runner to draw on.

    whistle

    What is that pipe Gaz???
  14. The washer stops the steel nut eating into the alloy. If its not tightening up then there's a problem, possibly its bottoming out on the threads before it reaches the washer? Are they the right nuts for the car & wheels??

Abs you missed 8 !! My mate has a gold Nissa Micra, H reg. Its the bo**ocks. He wants to know if he can come. Its got a 1.1 engine Its nickname is 'The golden pram'
  16. Nope, mayflies are made of 79% protein... YUM! Guess the silicon will have to remain a mystery! What air filter are you running BTW??
  17. They don't do the 100 degree test on this level of analysis, you have to pay more. I did have a contact for a cheaper test kit that actually gave all these results inc TAN & TBN, but I think they went out of business!
  18. Thinking that the silicon level is going up without the aluminium going up at the same rate in the correct ratio for normal dirt. Was wondering about sand. Have you been at the beach? Building site?? The iron & lead levels are not increasing, so it isnt a problem. I was just wondering if there was super fine sand dust getting in through the air filter, or if its silicon sealant as previously thought.
  19. I could read them Had eyes lasered Additives are depleting nicely, but not so fast that it shows the oil is too thin.
  20. That's normal where the carbon flakes off I think. Leaves an uneven surface, but not little dents into the metal.
  21. Ahhhhh, right. If its dropping then it may be Moly grease after all!! Do you live by the sea BTW????
  22. If something had passed through it would have taken its anger out on the top of the pistons... and as the softest metal in there they'd have had little dents in like the surface of the moon! Its very rare for something to come in through the inlet valves & then straight out through the exhaust valves... unless you're running huge amounts of overlap? Is the pitting of the valves on the seats or the combustion chamber faces??
  23. The pitting on #2. Is it pitting to the top of the piston??? EDIT - If whatever went through and scratched the bore & dinged the piston then went out of the turbo & knackered that I'd say your problems are mostly over.... as long as there's no more bits to come through! The bit of ???? that got sucked into #2 cylinder probably rattled around in there a few times before it finally found its way out of the exhaust valve and into #2 turbo. Those scratches will probbaly not cause a piston to pick up or ring trouble (I bet you already had that when the turbo went pop!!). As long as there's no more to come through then you'll be ok. A prime candidate for catching bits, then releasing them at full chat is the intercooler. May be worth taking it out & checking/flushing it.
