  1. good luck with the sale mate - looks like a really nice car that's been looked after too
  2. Very sad news indeed. RIP, whoever it is.
  3. lol - the new signature is my name too, but because I spend half my life signing I can't be a*sed to write it out neatly, which I had to do with my last one to make it look the same. It looked like a school-kids handwriting, it was that bad. But then I did have it since I was a kid, so I suppose it makes sense.
  4. Nope, but good thinking SupraGirlie - might have to do that - thanks! Just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation with signature? It's not something i change on a weekly basis - just really because the last one was almost me simply writing my name normally! lol
  5. Hey folks, Weird question here, but it's something I think I need to do. Occassionally, when I'm asked to show my ID, the requestor needs 2 forms of ID with the same signature on it. I have to use my Passport and a Debit/Credit card, since my driving license has my old signature on it. Sounds silly, but I got my driving license when I was 18, and my signature was quite lame (easy to duplicate also) and about 5 years ago I changed my signature. I've searched the DVLA website etc, and it helps you to change address, name, or even photo if you wish, but nowhere can I find an option for a change of signature. Is it possible to change this? I need to change my address soon anyway, as I'm moving house, so if I could do both at the same time it would save me a lot of grief in the future. It's that, or I wait for another 3-4years until my license expires and i need a replacement - hopefully then i can change it. Cheers folks
  6. I got a yr subscription to Banzai for xmas - and must say I quite enjoy reading it. Not as bad as I thought it might be - some of these magazines are poor. I think I prefer JP - but I've not really really had a read of many of them. Loved J Tuner - shame it's gone
  7. I've not seen that link anyway, so I'm sure you've redeemed yourself from the schoolboy error I actually had to check and double-check that it was already posted... as I'm sure you wouldn't have made a silly mistake like a repost, and I didn't want to look like a plonker! hehe

    skyline vs supra

damn, and I was about to post something similar: one looks great, the other one is a skyline.
  10. Jurgen - was this a part-ex from a UK member? As the advert states "Be the first UK owner" but I'm thinking this is not the case? I could be wrong though....
  11. i was not aware that Thor/NCS can change the readout so the figure you see is the figure the car has travelled in miles - that sounds awesome! i was always worried that upon conversion you'd have a mixture of XXX km and XXX miles on top...
  12. i know it's not a Supra, but I converted my Leon to use these blades (Aero wipers) and the results were fantastic. Look sleek, and do a much better job than the std ones.

same here mate - at work there is 7 of us - including 1 policeman. Suprisingly, the policeman said our theory was rubbish - but now he's coming around to the idea. He said we should all apply to become coppers
  14. yep - Polished Bliss (Richard) is a top bloke, ordered lots of stuff from him
  15. I've used and installed AVG free on many people's PC's. Never once had a problem with viruses on any of them. Just because AVG is free, does not mean it doesn't work.
  16. interestingly, I actually had another problem with the cooling system about 2 months after the FMIC and eventually had to change my thermostat, and change the upper FMIC hose. (The Samco hoses split around the MAP sensor) I also had the chance to remove the coolant and change it, ensuring there were no airblocks etc. So it could have been any of the above that resolved the issue. However, the other people with the same FMIC issue eventually changed their thermostats for aftermarket models (Neuspeed i think) which opened at lower temps. This seemed to sort them out fine.
  17. I don't want to harp on about it as this is a really interesting thread, but running the car with a laptop plugged into the ECU using VAG-COM, we'd see the temps rise quite quickly. The problem occured about 3/4 weeks after fitting FMIC, when we had some really hot weather (last yr i think). However, I've not really seen the problem this year, but then I'm rarely in traffic jams in the hot weather (earlier journeys to work, later journeys home)
  18. I hear the three tenors are now going to change their name. Apparently they're going to change the name to 20 quid.
  19. Well Forge didn't understand it either. It has been put down to the FMIC blocking too much airflow to the rad, even though at a standstill there isn't much of an airflow?!? There were only a few similar cars suffering from this problem - certainly a very small percentage of the customers with the FMIC's anyway. EDIT: Coolant temps (normal) are around 90 degrees on my car - with the FMIC they were reaching in excess of 105 degrees, sometimes as high as 110, which is just under the warning level.
  20. Question on this topic (kind of)... Intercooler spray/cooling systems - would an SMIC with one of these be as good as an FMIC? Would the water/whatever would cool the air to lower than ambient temps, although you'd need to be constantly using the spray to benefit???
  21. just my 2p, but when I fitted a Forge FMIC to my car, when stuck in traffic jams in hot weather my car used to overheat, causing the enginebay fans to kick in at double-speed. This made my car feel more sluggish until it had been driven for a short distance, getting the airflow going again. This never happened without the FMIC.
  22. You beat me to it.... NEVER been a fan of EBC pads at all. Brakes look good mate!
