  1. Dunno... I haven't got one...
  2. Sounds more like the airbag control unit... sure it didn't say 'SRS'?
  3. Lol, I doubt it, but... I use a laptop to generate test tones at various frequencies - when it's at the right frequency it's surprising how little volume it takes to excite the loose trim!
  4. Beat you to it Tightened up the two screws and put a dab of threadlocker in. Doesn't wobble now, just hope it lasts. Anyway, looks like both screws would have to come completely out before the key would fall out, and that's pretty unlikely. That makes them sound a lot worse than they are I reckon
  5. That is a bit worrying, mine has started to wobble already. Might be worth taking it apart and putting some loctite in there... or have you tried that already?
  6. Same prices for me too Plus... 4 tactile switches (KR88V) and an LED (WL32K) from Maplin, £3.32. Oh, and a smaller 27A battery (ZB55K) to replace the 23A that was in the fob, £2.09. And a few hours to squash one of my fobs in (a lot of trimming and rearranging). Looks messy inside but works just fine

Good plan BTW, the class rating doesn't tell the whole story, as it just specifies a minimum speed - some of the class 6 cards are a lot faster than others. Sandisk Extreme III are good, I've been using the 2GB cards in my D80 since I got it, no complaints at all
  8. No good for you anyway Craig (assuming the Fields is for a 2JZ...)
  9. Lol, but only a tenth of that as profit The weak yen helped them have a bumper year... I read somewhere that for each yen difference in the dollar:yen exchange rate, Toyota's bottom line changed by $250,000,000
  10. Thanks, sounds like it's doable Just wondering how it will look in the end, with a passenger base on the driver's side. And if it changes the driving position at all...
  11. Thread resurrection alert Now that I have two pairs of seats, I'm looking at making the best possible pair I can from them... does anyone have any more detailed information that would help? It looks to me like the driver and passenger seat backs are the same, but the bases are asymmetrical - the outside bolster on each seat being wider. But functionally, I'm not sure that matters much Mr 3000 - is there a pic of your seats somewhere that shows the base?
  12. CRT - and not even a widescreen one
  13. Highly variable on the circumstances... not necessarily custodial IIRC.
  14. Personally I just can't get on with the harshness of LCDs... been tempted recently by the budget Panasonic plasmas though, they're getting very good reviews, and 720p would be enough to keep me happy I think. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-TH-42PX80B-Widescreen-Freeview-Pedestal/dp/B0013UJS5Y/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1229118755&sr=1-3
  15. + 'lessons learnt' or 'learn the lessons' ... it's like the speaker knows that something should've been learnt, but hasn't a frickin' clue what!
  16. Lol, I remembered it, it's not often a cable box takes a direct hit!
  17. Was just a straight up question. The point, if anything, is that unexpected stuff happens on roads.
  18. The PCV might be a red herring, but I've read that oil in the intake charge can make detonation more likely, is that right? Still, I'm going to stay off boost until I fix it, so no more testing... not that it's the right weather for that anyway! I really don't think it's an emanage issue in this case. The emanage isn't set to adjust timing, and I'm convinced it's reading the timing correctly (no '-120 degrees' or other oddities). I'm sure the timing was actually changing, I could hear it when it happened.
  19. Congratulations! Nice to have a pic that relates to how you met Supra's should be allowed to get married as well. First SUV wedding ceremony, yesterday...
  20. Still totally baffled by this, and it's proving hard to replicate the right conditions for it to show itself (and not sure what they are anyway). It's got to the point where I'd be happy to stump up cash to get someone to look at it, but if it's difficult to reproduce the problem that could get very expensive! The dangerous part of the problem is the advanced timing at high revs, but I'm thinking that the retarded timing at lower revs is perhaps a better pointer to the cause of the problem... Could it be a faulty knock sensor? Or that there was some knock causing the retard, which then wasn't registered by the ECU for some reason at higher revs? One thing I've identified as faulty is the PCV, there's a fair bit of oil in my intercooler piping as a result. Could this be causing timing weirdness? Kind of hoping someone might've seen something similar or have a good theory... even if it was on a Supra the info would most likely still be useful to me.
  21. One near me was dug up by an annoyed builder who couldn't sleep... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/oxfordshire/3161840.stm What it doesn't mention in that article is that the road is the only access to a fair sized trading estate with a dairy distribution depot in it!
