Yep Blood Diamond is excellent (although Leo Di Caprio's accent is a bit irritating). The Shooter is one of my favourite films at the moment, watched it about 6 times. There's just something about sniper films that I love.

North West National Meet - All Welcome Sun 19 Aug '07
steb9780 replied to a topic in England - North West
I don't think I'll be able to get there before that time and I will definitely have to leave early. Liverpool play Chelsea that afternoon. I also wouldn't like my car to be put on show on the club stand as I have a drift scar in the front of my bumper (liar you mean you rolled into a towbar ) I'll be there though to have a mooch about. I am going to bring my daughter too I think she likes her cars. -
Consistently ball shattering

I used http://www.globallatedeals.com earlier in the year, seemed very reasonable.

I can't believe you didn't see any Evo's, they're getting as common as Impreza's now.
-
My mate at work has 2 chargers and a plymouth. The white one is his proper toy (8.1 Hemi IIRC soon to be supercharged), and the orange one is waiting to be done up. The Plymouth is just a run-around

I bet your hoping Paul Potts makes it big.

It's Terry Christian from the Word

From doing mine today I found that using a stiff pot washing brush worked best (just don't let the missus know you nicked it ). It seemed to work the dye in a bit further than just spraying it on. Oh and just to prove it's a messy job see the pictures attached.

Just a little post to tell people the tools/spanners for this. 14mm socket/spanner for the seats and seatbelts, 10mm " " for the compulsory binning of the stock amp, Pozi-screwdriver for undoing the centre console, Small flat blade screwdriver for undoing the various trims/covers, Ideally a large flat blade screwdriver to undo the plastic fasteners on the drivers footrest. That's it from what I remember.

I was thinking about the headlining too. I know someone has done it as someone was selling a dyed one. I have grey fittings and sun visors, so don't think it will look right. I supposed I could mask the mirror etc. then dye them but the fittings will still be grey.

I usually use interparcel, they get quotes from various couriers online. http://www.interparcel.com

Don't set it to do it, and then turn the power off at the wall. Saying that surely nobody can be that daft

Mine used to go off all the time in my old car. It took ages to suss out. I bumped into an old mate of mine who works installing ICE and alarms and the like, and he said make sure your heater vents aren't set to flow air in from the outside. So I did it the next day, and never heard another peep out of it. Well until the autumn winds started picking up and rocking the car. So then the alarm was off again. I took it to him and he said it was set with the sensitivity really high.

Ah sorry here's the copy and paste of what he's said. His name is steve220 and I am sure that's his name on the MLR. I remember his rover 220 turbo it was immaculate and this is no different. If the kids weren't so small at the moment (i.e. needing rear seats) I would be very tempted by it myself. Here the spiel: Due to new career change, i'm having to part with possibly the BEST car i've ever owned. She isn't ready just yet as i'm waiting for my clutch and gearbox to arrive. So i'm putting the Bait out now for an end of the month sell (hopefully ) Evo 6 GSR Satellite Silver – 1999 T Reg Grey Import – imported in December 2003 (I have the import documents) I am the 6th owner of the car since then, and the majority of the rest are MLR owners. So here goes Engine Lee5 intake hard pipe and cold air divider (new Halfords battery to go with it) HKS Dome filter Forge Recirc BOV 3mm Lash adjusters Ported Turbo Elbow SAS removed totally Blueflame 3” system Inc. There is a tracker on the car but I haven’t renewed, but it can be re-activated though. 10months Tax 4months MOT – the car sailed though last mot without any problems There is a binder FULL of receipts and information about the car. There are no dents on the car that I’ve seen, the paint work is top notch and shines well. The car is regularly polished, and waxed every 2 months or so. The car has had an HPI check on it in the past by one of the owners who was on the MLR and it’s clean. The car has service history in the UK though not in the book (all in receipts etc), I can’t translate Japanese, so can’t tell what I have here is actually service info or not. I’ve serviced the car religiously since I’ve had it every 4k miles with Millers Fully synth oil and genuine mitsi filter. The AYC fluid is self bled every 9k miles using AYC fluid from the local Mitsi garage. The car will have a genuine Mitsubishi service before I sell her to make sure everything is ok. The engine is sound; I take pride in my engine work and get fidgety if there’s even a slight tick that’s not right. The car produced 371bhp/332Ibft at WRC Tech in Silverstone last June (2006) and since then I’ve fitted the intercooler and raised the boost a little. She pulls hard through every gear and puts a smile on my face every time! I have had almost 270 miles out of a run (from Brighton to Telford and to mates and back once home) and will do around 180-190miles doing a bit of everything. Air con comes out freezing and has been checked by a mate at Halfords to check levels and all is well. All warning lights go out after ignition. Only ever had a problem with the ABS sensor but that was sorted by an auto electrician and turned out to be the plug terminals had corroded so he replaced them and sealed it. I’ve replaced a few things that annoyed me – I had a squealing coming from the alternator belt during winter, so replaced the belt and bought a brand new tensioner for it and its gone now. Had both N/S (front and rear) bearings replaced to try and find where a noise was coming from, turned out to be transfer box – that was replaced by a low mileage one supplied by co-ordsport. The interior is clean but has wear to the right hand side of the driver’s side bolster. This has been my pride and joy for 20 months and levels are regularly checked in the engine bay, I wouldn’t let anything on this car pass me buy if I knew about it, because of this, the car will have a new clutch fitted to it before the new owner has it as well as being re-under sealed. The car has been seen by a lot of MLR members and I know Ian6xtreme will tell you how much time and effort i put into the car and how paranoid i get over little things lol. the only bad thing about the entire car i know of is every so often (totally random and once warm) the car will drop the revs below 1k when you come to a junction. Gwyn from JT Hughes in Telford (ralliart blokey) tells me its an air leak after the maf somewhere. But i can't seem to find it. I'll keep looking though. http://www.shropshirejapcarclub.com/images/meets/lions_day/03.jpg He's after £11k ono

North West National Meet - All Welcome Sun 19 Aug '07

I might come along to this one. If there's no room on the stand I'll have a look around as a spectator. -
All i'll say is don't rely on the TOTB site they don't have the results from last years up yet.
-
Ah result, so it was worth the wait then. I was gutted, I missed Keith Cowie do the 0-300km'h run, I went about 10 minutes before it. I also wanted to see some of my bits on it when it was parked up, but the others wanted to get off and beat the traffic.
