I don't think the mechanical ones tend to have the extra functions like peak hold. It seems to be mainly the electronic ones.

Yep it's an original x-box with IIRC and xecuter 2 modchip and Evo X dash installed. Do you know where I can download the xbmc software from. I was doing some reading before and it was on about creating your own software for xbmc. Is there not just a simple download that can be installed. I have had a quick look at what looks like the right wireless-ethernet it was made by linksys. Do they make the right sort of thing that I am looking for??

I know there are some people on here that might be able to help. I was going to sell my modded x-box, but a few people have told me of there capabilities as a media centre. So I might keep it if I can get it setup wirelessly to stream from my laptop. I have a netgear router and dell laptop. I can't use one of the wired network ports on my router for the x-box as the router has to be at the other side of the room due to the phone line. So I want to know if I can get an adaptor to make my x-box wirelessly connect to my network. Is there something out there that will do this (as cheap as possible would be good too). Thanks for any help!

Big thanks Nic and GZaerojon. nic sorted me out the facelift rears a few months ago. And Jon sorted me out with some re-furbed fronts. The backs went in a few months back but I have just installed the fronts. Thanks guys. Just need to get that bumper sorted now and save for a TRD spoiler. Then it will be just as I want it on the outside.

Just seeing if there's any interest in this: Modified X-Box fitted with Xecuter 2 Modchip ( I seem to remember 2.2 lite being mentioned when it was done). 2 Controllers (one official X-box and the other is not). Power lead and scart/rgb lead. The dashboard and navigating software installed is Evolution X Dash (V+392). The media software is DVD-X2 Media player & X-Box media player. The console has the standard hard drive in (I think it's 8GB but could be wrong). The genuine games included are: Medal of Honor European Assault, Golden Eye Rogue Agent, and the bundled Sega GT 2002 and JSRF (not cased and has some scratches) The back-up games are: (Most of these games have some scratching to the disc but all booted fine and started a fresh game fine. Just so you know 6 didn't make the cut, they are now in the bin lol). Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow (Boxed), Enter the Matrix (Boxed), Speed Kings, Halo, Ghost Recon, Wakeboarding, Minority Report, Crimson Sea, FIFA 2003. Most of these games are in plastic sleeves apart from the two stated as boxed. I have 4 green X-box cases that I'll chuck in too. I also have instructions from the person who modded the X-Box on how to rip games etc. and delete from the hard drive.
