  1. hi, how about a bit of powerlifting bet ive got the best power to weight ratio on the forum 265kg deadlift and 150 kg bench press at 77kg bodyweight. do not judge the power by the size of the engine! also my husky/gsd Kodi takes up a lot of time. a little bit of ju jit su . have my open water scuba diving cert but never get to go now have baby on way
  2. hi these are great cars just sold one ,engines are rock hard. check suspension for creaks and groans common prob with expensive multilink suspension arms, as cannot replace bushes without arms.some high mile cars seen with replacement gearboxes so check for any clunks or bad changes they should be perfect and super smooth.go for the sport model it is more desirable and easier to resell with sport seats 30% stiffer suspension and 18 inch alloys and bose hifi, you will pay 700 more for what is in our game is about 5k extras. top range s8 is now getting cheaper and has brembo brakes and 340 bhp .360bhp from 2000 facelift onwards.these cars are built better than anything i have driven the interior is awesome quality.
  3. sure i wasnt defending the ebay motor it looks a dog just saying write offs can make excellent buys if your carefull .
  4. hi love all the bad press insurance write offs get. sure there are some bad cars out there but some good ones to. both my cars were/are total loss repairs. as long as the repair is good then its win win win.my audi tdi was light front and benifitted from new rads/intercooler bonnet full respray and was bought for the price of a bag of nuts. my supra recently purchaced was also a total loss. i knew this, the owner gave me a full detailed repair file of bills including cd rom with photographed stages of damage and repairs which was panal only no front impact or suspension damage.the car drives perfectly looks brand new colour coded with one of the best standard spray jobs ive seen factory or after.also fitted with £2500 wheels splitrims brand new. car uk 48750 miles full toyota history mint leather all mots.bought last year for £8700 when low mile uks were fetching £13k+.i intend to keep for 5 years as i try to with cars i like so selling for good price will not be to much of an issue.at least i know to what extent my car has been damaged and repaired.dozons of supras have had unrecorded repairs to the same extent as mine yet still demand high prices because they dont carry the stigma. im well happy but prehaps im biased
  5. i couldnt afford to do all my 18-20k miles a year in the soop about 8 then 12 in my old audi 2.5 tdi and i have 4 sources of income not all big.im lucky i can afford a soop after paying for a nice house and three kids but as i tell my 18 year old povety son(£110 per week job) its a bonus of getting old 39 next month i would swap the soop and the house to be his age again
  6. i honestly think my tt sounds better with the standard airbox.full hks decat superdragger sounds like an engine twice the size really meaty not much sucking going on like an m5 v8 gone mad
  7. hi, i bought my car with 19"s and uk shocks with eibach springs the ride was fine but the car felt a bit soft at speed. having now fitted bilsteins to match i find the ride a bit hard, ok on fast a roads but over crap back roads here in suffolk a bit too hard.grip is great ,steering is a bit heavy, high speed is a bit twitchy but overall the car handles ok and i do drive hard. if i hadnt read about issues with 19s i would have accepted it was how a 13 year old design high powered rwd jap sports car should handle. however i am after some uk 17s but these will only make a rare appearance on the car for drag racing as this is my sport of choise. ps 19s have no rubbing issues(at least on my set up) and god do they look good really bringing a great design up to date so im happy.
  8. just given my vote mate very best of luck. ps dont suppose she could pop round and return the favour? hmm! didnt think so
  9. hope you find this relevent as an example a couple of years back i had my gsx1260 drag bike motor rebuilt spent £1700 and 6 months at one of the best tuners in the country i had almost everything renewed but skimped on the gearbox output bearing(cost £35). the result 1400 road miles later the bearing collapses changing into 4th at about 120 mph locking wheel, i managed to stay on leaving an 1/8th mile black stripe down the bypass.the engine needed full strip/repair at £600 cost. i will never do a 95% job again let alone a 50% job.however i am sorry for your plight and hope all ends well without too much cost.best of luck

  12. just missed out on some stock 17" uk wheels again on ebay left £175 bid being highest bidder at £102 with 1/2 hour to go came home to see my bid pipped by £5. it seems that this club has made stock wheels very fashionable. looks like i will have another go on the next set on ebay any members buy the last ones?.any members got any for a deal.
  13. still dont really know if mine is working either. my light doesnt flash
  14. just like the add says "not for the faint hearted" they are right that is heart breaking what a mess
  15. thanks guys so what sort of power am i making at present? 340-350bhp at flywheel?
  16. hi, could anyone tell me what stock boost is on a 96 uk supra have just fitted blitz boost gauge and am hitting 0.9-0.92 with full decat hks super dragger cool plugs and standatd airbox what power should i be at with this spec/boost?
  17. great news. i own a fish chip restaurant which i made non smoking 18 months ago as i thought it was the right time. place is so much nicer and 95% feedback has been positve. i wish i had done it 3-4 years earlier.now it will be law no one can moan as the odd one or 2 still do. as for drinking anybody should have the option to drink (to exsess if they like) but the law should hammer people who behave like idiots(fighting ,drink driving, vandalizm ,etc) instead of silly fines. if you cant handle too much drink dont do it!!
  18. thganks. i think it may be working as its not bad out of wet corners on power.a couple of last questions. as unit is connected to ecu injectors would this disable factory unit? and does the standard traction give the distant popping sound when kicking in? i know some traction control is going on
  19. can make most sundays looking forward
  20. still not sure if my rltc works the unit has socket for second plug in is this needed to work ? have no diagnostic green led and the red dash led never lights up in any position ????
  21. hi, just had a look in footwell . ahh ? i only have one large plug attached with no diagnostic led will the unit still work as is have taken pic for ref
  22. hi, thanks all, the red led does not come on at any position so it is either disconected or faulty. cant find the green led where will this be?. been roaring around in the wet today and had to go very fast to break the back away.as suggested went to my local b and q car park and floored it on full lock the car is auto and the rear didnt spin round i just drove round in circles.however switching off traction didnt seem any different. when i switch off the factory traction switch the traction off light still comes on should this still be the case with rltc? sorry guys im still none the wiser
