  1. NOW she's on about the shabby overspill of the PAINTWORK ?!?!????!??!??
  2. Carole's only comment was..... " look at them MINGING scurtin' boards ! !.... .....AND cobwebs ! !" ( don't worry mate, that's what MY corners looked like when i lived on me own !! ....PRESUMIN' you live on yer own ! ! ! ! ! )

    Misc switch?

Same SHAPE as our fog switch, but, on my old TT that's where the switch was to turn the Parking Sensors ON/OFF (??) ...IF you've got 'em of course ?

    aero top

Ours leaks and i DO do the back bolts FIRST ! ! ! BUT, it leaks MUCH less if i spray all the rubber seals with rubber 'lube' (oooooh errrrrrr ) Halfords do a Window/Seal Spray about £4 and it doesn't take much to spray it. I suppose the Smear-of-Grease is same thing ??? It only leaks at the 4 corners where the window/body/aero meet and the fit isn't 100% (how COULD it be ! ! !) All in all, it only leaks if it's raining quite HARD and only if it hasn't been sprayed for a while. FatS.
  5. NO, NOT the MOT. Illegal to CARRY it on the road ! IF you've GOT a spare in the car, it must be legal (AND the right size ! !) It's because you might put the ILLEGAL wheel/tyre ON (i suppose)
  6. Only last week, took the polystyrene bits out of the hatch ready to put Subs in (one way or another). Found: small roll sellotape grotty GameBoy cartridge (Metal Gear ?? i dunno) ~50 Air-Gun pellets Medium size bottle after shave (Armani Mania ??? 50ml, nearly FULL !) 2 one pence pieces ("see TWO pennys...pick 'em up..." ??) ALL true !! I was quite chuffed with the After Shave..... ..but Carole doesn't like it just my luck ! nearly quids in there ! Waiting for mate to try the Game Boy thingie.
  7. Spares aren't part of the MOT ! ! ! neither are: Reversing Lights Rear washers Rear wipers Front fog lamps Speedos (although the ODOMETER reading is TAKEN, even if same as LAST year ! !) Battery can be loose as hell (but Police will nick you for the same defect !) and MANY MANY more 'silly' omissions that VOSA feel aren't important It IS however illegal to carry an illegal spare (i THINK ??) I dumped my spare as soon as i got the soop.... i've driven a few cars at work with SpaceSavers ON the car and although i STARTED driving along remembering the S'S' i soon forgot about it and started pulling fast out of Junctions/Bends etc.....OOOH NO ! The difference between my Soop tyres and the S'S' is just TOO much, not too bad in the dry/slow/straight, but........ Now have TWO large cans of 'Crazy Foam' and an electric pump/gauge for pumping/topping-up. I'd rather have a slow leak in the RIGHT SIZE TYRE (purely personal preference) FatS.

    full decat n/a

What exhaust you got Dave ?? What Decat pipes have you got (and, how MUCH !?!? ) MUCH louder AFTER the decats ? ? FatS.
  9. BUMP.....ish ! ! ! Is the Terminal Velocity meet the one run bythe 200SX boys or is it another one.... or, rather, WHAT/WHEN are ANY meets at Woodbridge ? ? ? ? It's just SOOOOO damn close and a great venue (even better if they get decent food stall there ! ! ) ANYONE ? ? ?
  10. where are YOU then mate...... ...might as well use each OTHER on HERE as weather-forecasters, the REAL ones sure as hell ain't worth a T*SS ! ????
  11. MAYBE putting me Home-Made-bodge-up Subs-box in . . . (with the NUR on you really can't hear BU**ER ALL from the 4 'normal' speakers - normally end up switching the thing OFF at the moment) IF it doesn't RAIN....... IF the wiring goes EEEEASY ('specially poking the live through the little rubber thing in the bulkhead ! ! !) IF i don't get ARSED/BORED/etc etc IF............ IF...... IF..
  12. Sorry Flynn mate...... that sounded a bit "School-Teacher-ish" didn't it ???? I realise you meant HOW bad, didn't mean to sound like a scolding father . . . . . It's just that i DO like to keep me bits lubed (........ )
  13. It's ALWAYS bad ! ! Warning lights are WARNING lights (derrr) The less oil there IS, the harder/hotter the oil has to WORK. I'm guessing you'd have to be down to 75% or less oil capacity for the level light to come on (??) Just imagine how much harder the remaining oil has to work. There's no point worrying about what EXPENSIVE/EXOTIC potion yer gonna put IN IT, if there's only 3/4's of it IN THERE !! DIP YER STICK REGULARLY (AND check yer OIL TOO ! ! )
  14. Sorry mate, working Saturday morning SLIM possibilty Sat' afternoon (but not sure what the 'schedule' is yet ) There's SEVERAL owners up there (here?) so someone must be free ?!?!? FatS.
  15. mmmmm... dunno mate ! ! Sorry, seriously, not sure. On the TT i had a problem where the COLD idle was low and it turned out to be a piece of fibre washer caught in the IACV (don't know HOW it ever got in there ! !) but the low idle was also quite rough. Took the bit out and cleaned the IACV and presto, back to normal 1600.....1300.....1000...................700. I'm a tad concerned about our N/A cos i'd say the COLD idle is more like 1800-2000 and THAT feels a little TOO high (also SOUNDS too high with the NUR on ! ! ! ! ) I just haven't got round to looking at the IACV........LAZY ! ! FatS.
  16. Sorry, FAYE ! ! (if yer still around ??) Do you put the BOTTOM cat back in ? Does it pass LEGITIMATELY ??
  17. The 1400-1600 is fairly NORMAL ! at least it IS on our N/A, and it WAS on my old TT. It's Toyota's way of getting the engine to warm up ASAP. I'd be thinking more "why DIDN'T it USED to do it ?" Not so sure of the 1200 warm idle, as you say only usually does that if the A/C is on and it's cycling the pump. (having said that, the N/A normally idles at ~700/800 but occasionally seems to do a 1000 for no apparent reason ???) FatS.
  18. Roadcom RC300 LOOKS nice (for the price !) BUT, anybody heard of/seen/used "Roadcom" before ??? Can't seem to find THEIR web site, only places selling it. It's same price as CHEAPEST Tom-Tom or Navman, and LOOKS better/SAYS it does more, but obviously if it's CR*P . . . .?????
  19. Yeah, the caliper only 'holds' it on once the wheel is off. In FACT it's a shame really as otherwise you wouldn't need to undo the caliper to CHANGE the discs ! ! ! LazyFatS:rolleyes:
  20. Not absoLUTELY sure on these but saved ages ago on me Hard Drive ?!?!? . . . . Spark Plug Replacement.doc
  21. Nope, just held on by the wheels (and the 'calipers') . . . . .
  22. Wouldn't mind the answer to that one TOO ! ! ! ? ? ? ? ?
  23. OOOPS.... never knew THAT one.... SORRY ! ! So, normal (EASY to buy ! !) bayonet on PRE-facelift, and, AWKWARD large wedge in facelift...... WHY ?!?!?!?!?
  24. THINK (?) it's only a 'normal' 21w CAPPED just like the indicator bulb mate ??? and MOST places sell the RED 21w bulbs now. (? THINK)
  25. Sort of like THIS one ???
