I had some good runs yesterday as well, I bettered my last run time by 3 tenths of a sec, not much I know by your time but its under 16 secs now - 15.9 What did you think of that white SH*T!!!??? I stopped running after they covered the start line with it, my last run I went into the red - 7,000!!!! We've just decided to go Pod (again) tmrw. Going with Carole's Son and his Revvy-Boyz So we'll be the "Old'uns-in-the-Fat-old-AUTOMATIC" !! Just lettin' know in case any body else goin' . . . . . . [weather looks FAIR, cloudy but dry ? slightly cooler than today ??] FatS

errrr, just noticed the '97 bit Check the shape of those 'shadow' pics that you've still got the 'Jap' pads ? Not sure if the later Soop N/A could have UK brakes (or even a third type ??? think there's only 'big' and 'small' though ??)

Oh, BTW, i'm running UK spec/size on our N/A, the fronts are 'Blueprint' Discs and Pads, (and have already stood up to Carole's Santa Pod antics ! ! ! ! ! ) the rears are 'Toyota' Discs and Pads.

I CAN vouch for the Blueprint pads AND discs as i KNOW that they are AS SUPPLIED BY TOYOTA ! ! ! [We bought Blueprint for a customer/friends Soop, then i bought Toyota ones for MINE . . . . bit peeved when i opened the TOYOTA BOXES and found exactly same discs and pads ! ! !] As for any others Mintex/Lockheed/Lucas/Girling etc etc they are all good makes ON NORMAL ROAD CARS, but i can't say how they fair on a Soop, even the N/A is quite vicious on pads and discs.

THINK it's simply a Bellows to slow the return of the Main Throttle 'butterfly' (plate) so as to NOT get a VERY SUDDEN reduction in revs (not too good on manuals, not so bad on an auto ?!?!?). ? ? ? ?

We've only ever tried the Hallies one, but can't see why any other make shouldn't work ?? BUT, still let ya know what it's called in morn' (too lazy/old to go out there now )

We normally spray both the front and rear rubbers with (Halfrauds) Rubber Lubricant - i'll get exact name in morn' . . it's in garage ! It worked STRAIGHT AWAY ! The rain used to dribble down the front joins where they meet the window MOSTLY. Soon as we sprayed it, it 99% cured it !! It must expand the rubber slightly or something and give a better 'mating' or sumtin' ?? Carole says "are you getting a wet ar*e then ?"
