  2. I consider myself very lucky. I have loved all my jobs. Left school with the bare minimum, Managed to secure an Electro/mechanical Apprenticeship with Ford Mo Co at Dagenham. 4 years there, loved every minute of it. Decided I wanted to work on Aircraft so joined the RAF- 9 years as an Airframe Technician. Then realised if I actually wanted to earn decent money I needed to change again - took a chance and started working offshore. I now work with ROVs (under water robots) on Drill rigs and apart from being away from home, I love it. 3 weeks on 3 off, decent money and the job is great. Half of my time spent 'flying' the ROV which is essentially like playing a cool computer game and the other half getting my teeth into electrical and mechanical maintenance of the system. The only thing I 'wish' I could have done in my life would be a job in motorsport ie driving.

  4. Looking like I might be able to make this, although I may need to leave mid afternoon to catch a flight/go to work. I don't suppose I'd be welcome on the stand now I haven't got my Supra would I ? Maybe If I'm just perched on the end? I would be coming the other direction up the A11 from the Thetford end so would have to meet you there. Anyone else coming from that way? I will be coming south on the A134 to Thetford then east on the A11.
  5. In my opinion, people on benefits should be able 'survive' on benefits, not 'live' like those that work. Obviously If you have been paying into the system for X amount of years and have been made redundant, you should be more comfortable than those that haven't, but only for a limited time (maybe a few years) enough time to pick yourself up and get another job. Those on benefits should NOT get money. They should get vouchers for food, cloths etc and their bills payed by the system.

    My new car.

This was exactly my thought. In standard form they are lovely, just under powered. This one is just about right.
  10. That doesn't look good to me mate! Where you have the axle stands should not be loaded in the direction it is they may bend or snap! Either put them where the lower whishbones meet the suframes or on the stock jacking points. If using the stock jacking points you will need to protect the sill seam or you will crush it. Either cut a groove in a piece of wood or use two small peices, one either side of the sill seam and put the stands/ jack on that. See here for stock locations. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=211356&highlight=jacking+points

Supra should be going tomorrow. And yes it will be hard to see her go. I'm still not sure I won't regret it one day.
