  1. As always I'm interested Si, but can't commit because I may be at work. If anyone is thinking about it, I would highly recommend doing it. It's a great track for the Supra with some tight stuff, lots of fast corners and a mile long straight that you can get 160-170 mph in a stockTT or 200mph if your names ASHBHP! Its a very safe place with just a few cones to hit if it goes wrong. Here is a vid to give you an idea what its like.
  2. Bad news, hope you and the passenger are ok. Waiting for pics.
  3. If I've read this right, you have decatted it but have a stock baffle/s after the decat pipes, and a NUR spec back box? If so, the stock baffle/s will be too restrictive to allow your boost to rise much above stock. Yes, you need to get an aftermarket cat-back system fitted. You will also need a restrictor ring fitted ( normally between the two de-cat pipes) to stop it over boosting.
  4. I tried to watch it but the missus was bored within minutes. I sky+'d it so will watch it soon.

    Dyno help

Why not put one of your cats back in and see what boost you get? If it's just under the 1.0bar you could put it on the rollers if you wanted.
  6. When I fitted my hid kit (not from this group buy) I also had to modify it slightly. Just a little bit of filing on one of the locking tabs.

    hi all new here

Welcome again mate. I'm in Downham Market and just found out Dan is in Welney so I'm sure we'll have a meet up at some point. Got any pics of the motor?
  8. Hello and welcome to the club. :)You should put a post in the new members section saying hi and give some details of your new motor.
  9. Great explanation, thanks. AFR's on the dyno on AEM wideband were; 4th gear pull 2k rpm to 3.5k @0.75 bar = 12.5 - 13.8 Transition 3.5k to 4k rpm = 13 - 14.3 4k rpm to 6500k rpm @1.1 bar = 11.3 - 12.1 - 11.7 If the revs were held above 4k and you floored it and let off and floored it and let off etc.. the AFR's stayed between 11.3 and 11.7 at WOT I noticed the torque figure was exactly the same on the 2 runs On the first one I did have all the BPU mods fitted but with just a restrictor ring and not the EBC which is now holding the boost steady and obviously higher at higher revs. I assumed that as the max torque is produced lower down the revs and that fitting the EBC has given more power high up the rev range thats why it hadn't changed ? I'm also not convinced that my IACV vsv wasn't already a bit faulty at the time of the first run. Probe is in the runner nearest the front, not sure if thats 1 or 6? EGT's were around 900degC at WOT then just crept up to 920 @6500rpm so we let off. (Thought I read on here above 950degC is possible damage territory?) Yes the FPR is still the stock one. I may try the pump change next. I noticed that I have a relay attached to the pump ecu I assumed it was the 12v mod, but at idle and pottering around this relay clicks on and off loading and unloading the pump quite regularly. It has always done this for the 5 years I've had the car. Unfortunately I can't hear if it still does it when giving it any beans due to Nur Sec. I thought if it was the 12v mod it would just keep the pump loaded continuously?
  10. Where are you then Dan? You obviously come to Downham a lot. I think it could belong to a female copper in town. Is it an n/a? I drove past two female coppers in town yesterday and had the window down and think I heard one of them say 'that sounds nice' and the other said ' I think that one's a twin turbo'.
  11. What this one? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=187436&highlight=poll
  12. Great result mate. Ryan really is doing well at getting the most out of the sequential system.
  13. Just an update, after running an STP fuel system cleaner through it has improved slightly but still a little on the lean side i.e high 11's with a flash of 12.1 on WOT. I will fit a new pump and see if that sorts it. If not I'll try the FPR.
  14. Well according to the club garages at least 162. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?s=&securitytoken=1277537639-f222ea82c81f4b89266a062d14a538bade457f8e&do=search&q=uk&titlesonly=1&match=any
  15. Loose battery terminal, dud battery maybe. Admittedly it sound more serious/expensive than that. Hope it's simple and cheap for ya.
  16. No, unfortunately that wasn't working. I was watching my wideband and EGT gauges very closely though as I have been having issues recently with running a bit lean at WOT on boost. See here; http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=219406&highlight=running+lean AFR's were; 2k rpm to 3.5k @0.75 bar = 12.5 - 13.8 Transition 3.5k to 4k rpm = 13 - 14.3 4k rpm to 6500k rpm @1.1 bar = 11.3 - 12.1 - 11.7 EGT's were around 900degC then just crept up to 920 @6500rpm so we let off. (Thought I read on here above 950degC is possible damage territory?) Still running a little lean @WOT so going to replace my fuel pump and if that doesn't improve things the FPR.
  17. Yeah, that will do..............................for now

    Matt or gloss?

I've done all my cars with hammerite smooth. Lasts forever and really easy to keep clean.
  19. Used to be able to click on the username and 'see garage' but it seems that option has gone, so I've put a link in my sig.
  20. Cheers, yeah BPU. Exact spec in my garage.
