  1. Not bad. Do you do airport pick-ups?
  2. Have to make sure it covers, social, domestic AND commuting. I had to get this added to my Sky policy.
  3. He's been asked if he would be doing panto again this year. Apparently he replied that he probably wouldn't, as he did Aladdin four years ago and still hasn't heard the end of it! (sorry!)
  4. Ah b*llox. Got home and Adam (1yr old son) is running a ridiculous temperature and puking his guts up all over the place. So I got to spend the evening in pediatrics rather than in Islington. Few hours later and he is absolutley fine by the time we got him home and laughing almost non-stop! Little bugger!!!!! He will pay for that in years to come. Oh yes. He will pay!!! :eyebrows:
  5. They never did outstandingly well, just a top-quality brum band who form a goodly chunk of the soundtrack to my adolescence!
  6. Two bassists. Nuff said! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yan77UKYcg4
  7. It's at Islington Academy. Pretty good venue! No idea who the support are - might be struggling to get up to Islington in time for the support anyway, tbh. First round's on me if you can make it!
  8. Ned's Atomic Dustbin Tonight! Yay! One of my favourite ever bands playing quality tunes to the accompanying entertainment of a bunch of 30-somethings trying to jump around like we did when we were still teenagers! Hurrah!
  9. Hey - not bad. Gave me a bit of a St Etienne/Stereolab feel! If you want some recent old-school shoegazing, check out Air Formation! Oh - just remembered - the "Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly" album is the last I bought - probably worth a listen. I notice Kate Nash supported him on a recent tour.
  10. I'm impressed that Camera Obscura are still going - they've been around for a while. The last album was pretty good - not enamoured with them myself, but a friend saw them live and was v. impressed.
  11. I'm liking the Twang album, despite the bit of a ribbing it got from the music press. Jack Penate is my tip for an up-and-coming. Went to see him live a couple of weeks ago (supporting the Maccabees), and he was ace on stage. Saw BRMC last year but found their live performance really quite bland. They were totally upstaged by The Cooper Temple Clause who were supporting, IMO!
  12. Only thing they could get you on is obstructing the pavement, I guess? But that would be pretty crazy by the looks of it.
  13. I've played computer games for over 25 years now. From the few games that were available on my TRS-80 as a kid up to leading-edge PC games and consoles today. In the last couple of years, my videogames-playing time has dropped to virtually non-existent (apart from Nethack, which is still the best computer game ever!). Me and my mates are playing boardgames instead! Boardgames are the new computer games! Rah!
  14. Very odd. If anything was going to put me off having a good dump, it would be my parents standing there singing and dancing about it!!! :D
  15. C-section is a walk in the park, mate. Looking forward to the announcement!
  16. Let me get this straight. God is omnipresent, so He could have just told you this directly anyway, no? Instead, He selects Anthea and Phylis to pass on the message in leaflet format!? Personally, I would have picked someone more persuasive myself - a celebrity or something. Maybe Tom Cruise?
  17. Use them as they were intended, Mike. Strap one on each foot and away you go!
  18. When I put mine up for sale, most of the queries about it were from Swedish buyers (including Delfin, here, actually! )
  19. To me, the 350Z is a different beast to the Supra for one very important reason: it's only got 2 seats. Where at least some semblance of practicality is required, the Supra was the absolute danglies. If you want to start looking at 2-seaters, there's a crap load of cars you can consider. Look instead for a 2+2, and there's not really that many options....
  20. I would probably avoid any car that's "chuffing", in fairness.
  21. Argh. It's definitely singular: "IS". I'll post the whole article this time if you like:
  22. Soure: Economist Style Guide Online
  23. Yes. Definitely get one of these two.
