Best to get a drive in both and make your own mind up. You could do a search, but the threads you will find are going to be pretty much evens as to owners preferences. Manual Supras are slightly dearer than autos for like-for-like cars. Older autos have a manual mode (make sure you have a go with this if you test drive one) and newer autos may have the Tiptronic option if these ones are in your price range (standard auto mode or gearchange by the lever OR the buttons on the steering wheel in manual mode). Like I said, try both before you buy...you may be suprised how good the autobox is.

After almost a whole day yesterday on the phone to the ins. co., we have a successful claim under way. It was touch and go as pipes are not covered if over 25 years old. Even then, they are not normally covered if rusty / worn. A big up to LV. :) A bigger up to my neighbour...an absolute star. Cant get a contractor 'till thursday next week. :( My concrete drive has sunk a couple of inches, but a big drain cover has stayed the same height. Now I cant get the Supra over the drain cover due to the Nur Spec grounding. I've had to put a scaffold plank either side to get the car on the drive....bizarre.

Dont get me wrong, gorgeous car and JIC provenance is good and I wish you all the best with the sale...but that is a depressing price. As in, if thats all its worth, I'm depressed.

I dont expect much from re-makes, and true enough this one was a turkey. The storyline was cliche'd and predictable, the characters unconvincing and uninvolving. I had trouble identifying with them and really couldnt care less how their miserable lives unfolded before me. The 'daughters boyfriend' was something new for this year, an attempt by the director to inject a dangerous element into a family rated sugery sweet storyline. It backfired badly, his lame attempt at portraying a lovable drunkard with a modicom of guitar playing skills and a disarming habit of dropping the odd 'f' anf 'c' words into the dinner conversation, soon became unbearable to watch. All in all, if it hadnt had the three main stars from last years smash hit, I'd have turned off half way through and gone to bed.
