  1. I did that when I fitted mine. Despite no-one else knowing, I did fell like a bit of a tit! Couldn't be bothered taking it out again so just snipped and re-soldered the wires on top Have you checked all your vacuum hoses, btw? If you've knocked one off round the back when you were doing the plugs, that might be why you're not seeing any boost.
  2. Just a little update ('cos I'm feeling proud with myself at the moment! ). The turbos are all on now and everything torqued up underneath; the fmic is fitted too. I even took the manifold off and copper-greased every nut and bolt when I replaced them, so that going single in the new year won't entail quite as much grunting and swearing for the guys over at Turbofit All new gaskets etc. thanks to the ebay head kit I've had lying round for a year or so! Just got to move the PAS cooler now, then remove the inlet manifold and throttle body (to replace with GeodieSteve's polished ones ), refit the bumper and headlights, fit the new brake discs, calipers and pads, fit the boost controller and decat, and FINALLY she'll be back on the road
  3. Cool, that's my mind at rest Cheers matey!
  4. I need to move my power steering cooler due to the fmic, but I can only get 10mm fuel hose at Halfrauds locally - says on the packet its good for unleaded and leaded petrol, and diesel. Would that be any good for power steering fluid? If not, can anyone recommend somewhere local (Derbs. / Leics. way)where I can get about a metres length of 10mm oil hose? Ta!
  5. Awww, bless. He's obviously mentally challenged. At least he's happy though.
  6. +£20 postage = £99.99
  7. I was sold a 2nd hand Apexi Multichecker a while ago, having been told it would fit various cars including the Supra. So far, I can only find any mention of it in Nissan forums. Have I been conned? Is there any way this can work with the Supra? (It didn't come with a manual, btw)
  8. At the start of June this year I was 16st 4.5ib. I joined Weight watchers - whilst it was one of the most embarassing moments of my life, I am now down to 14stone, and I fully intend to lose another 7ib before my honeymoon this christmas. I've lost 4" off my waist and feel a lot better. I used to think that I could do to lose a stone or so, as I've laways been well built. After I lost the 1st stone, there was hardly any difference! I'm 6' btw, and can't do any running / long walking / cycling due to a FUBAR'd knee joint Good luck mate.
  9. Well, it's different. Different isn't always good though, and there is NO decent ducting to that - hell, it's impossible to duct something that sits on the front of your car like a large metallic pimple.
  10. http://www.cfsnet.co.uk used to supply it, along with resin etc.
  11. The welding and general look of the hybrid was a lot better than these ones, so I would say that they're not exactly the same at all. Similar end tanks, yes, but better construction on the part of the hybrid.
  12. Yes yes, I know. Just realised that I need an induction kit / air filter instead of the standard ait box to allow the new fmic to kit properly. I'm after a decent quality kit to use until I can get round to modifying my standard air box to fit. Anyone with one to sell, please feel free to post here or PM me
  13. To be honest Greg, I'm not really that impressed with the core. It is most definitely a budget core, as I imagine most of the cheap ones are. Have you thought about one of the Hybrid ones? I saw one on Andyhannah's car and the core was surprisingly good quality (well, looked it anyway! ) Edited to say - Greg, if you're ever over this way (South Derbyshire / Burton-on-Trent) feel free to give me a shout and you can see the intercooler for yourself
  14. Steve, just realised I need an induction kit to fit the fmic - how much are you after for the Apexi? Does it come with piping and everything?
  15. I had Vredestein Sportrac 2's all round on my Celica and they were excellent tyres. Didn't they used to supply the Porsche standard factory tyres?
  16. I'm in the process of putting one of these on mine. The construction isn't anything to write home about, but no doubt it's better than a knackered stock one. I bought mine on Monday, had it delivered Tuesday - very good service The £30 is for the next day delivery (Parcelforce 24), normal delivery is 3- 5 iirc. Parcel is very well packed, certainly the pipes and fittings are good quality. The welding on the intercooler isn't the worst (nor the best) that I've seen, but looks OK otherwise. Fitting is fairly easy too. The intercooler kit is branded 'Autobahn 88' if that helps The way I see it, the core for this is a disposable item, and can be upgraded as and when funds allow
  17. Bridgestone RE050a - not the cheapest nor the best looking, but fantastic tyres!
  18. Cool, If there's not too many miles on them and they're in decent enough condition I'll take them off your hands
  19. Are the springs still up for grabs?
  20. Screaming abuse at it also seemed to help, although the neighbours give me a lot of funny sideways glances now
  21. I can really recommend Loctite Freeze 'n Release from Halfrauds. I used it on my cat along with a 2' breaker bar and everything came off easy peasy!
  22. How much are you after for the intake manifold and TB mate?
