Just had to unload it off the aircraft pallet it was on! OK i only got to drive it 50 ft but it was worth it It took 5 of us 15 minutes to work out how to get it started! I got some pics of the interior too, i'll post them up in a moment. It is just as sweet inside as it is out! Probably my best day at work so far in 10 years.

... into my warehouse for someone with a lot more money than me! From what i can see it's all carbon fibre too, don't know too much about them really but i must say it's really nice in the flesh. I would definitely have one! Picture quality not all that but it's on my phone

I actually think that is quite cool, how does the engine cope with the extra weight because the Merc must weigh almost double what a Supra does!? Anyway i think that's quite a good project.

Hi everyone, Before it's suggested i have searched for this but i can't find anything that matches my problem. When i go over rough or bumpy road i get a rattling noise which appears to be coming from the front driver’s side wheel. I've seen all the suggestions for re-torqueing the sub-frame bolts, knackered shocks or dampers but the weird thing is if i apply even the slightest bit of brake the noise seems to disappear. I was thinking maybe rattling brake pads or something, I’ve had a little poke around and everything seems to be secure though. I was wondering if people still thought it could be the shocks or sub-frame bolts etc if so then why does it stop when i brake? Any ideas before i take it to be looked at? Thanks, Ben

Hi all, From the pictures would anyone on here be able to tell me if i have UK brakes of J-spec brakes? The car is an import but the brakes look bigger than they were on my last Supra which was also an import. I'm looking to get some new wheels and i want to make sure they'll fit before i get them. Thanks everyone, Ben

Hi everyone, Haven't been around here for a while. After selling my other Supra to take the ex-missus on holiday and buy her a car i have had a few months of un-happy Mercedes driving. Since December i have been in a E300TD wishing i had never sold my Supra but she left me so i thought sod it and i been and bought a '96 J-Spec Auto TT in blue' and once again driving is fun! It's in mint condition and it's had a UK upgrade done on the turbos and injectors etc (don't really know what's involved but i got ton's of reciepts). Got a HKS super dragger exhaust system and induction kit which i'm not sure about... other than that it's standard inside and out. It's made me a happy driver and no one else i talk to seems to get it but i know you lot will understand the feeling I'll get some pictures up as soon as i can take some, just wanted to come back on here and get involved glad to see nothings changed around here.

Air con compressor not kicking in on my merc
Benzsupra replied to Benzsupra's topic in Non-Supra Technical
It was kwik fit who done it and i know they are shite but i checked the re-gassing printout with the specialist and he said that it was spot on. -
Just brought myself a W210 e300td. When i got it i put the air con on and it appeared to get slightly colder so i just put it down to a re gas.... Had it re gassed today and there was no leaks and it has been fully gassed and oiled up but it wasn't making any difference. It is only now i realize that where the air con compressor is supposed to kick in periodically and you hear the revs get higher, this doesn't happen. I called a specialist and he said it sounds electrical but i checked the fuses and they are fine. now it has to be wiring or compressor unless anyone has any other ideas? does anyone know a test i can do to see if it is either of these? The specialist started talking about running a feed from the battery to one of the top up pipes to see if the compressor kicks in??? anyone heard of this? Help please..... Thanks for reading, Ben.

The time has come! So here's the spec if anyones interested... General: Whole car in overall good contition, has been serviced regularly using only the best stuff. If you look at my old posts you will see i have had the PAS pump changed, Air con compressor changed, crankshaft pulley changed and various other little things so there isnt much else to go wrong really! Inside: Built in dash touchscreen controlled PC and Kenwood mp3 player all remote controlled from panel in the ashtray. 3 other lcd screens throughout. Replaced all standard speakers with DLS 2 ways, two Mutant 12" subs driven by mono amp, two Mutant 6 X 9's driven by stereo amp. All in a custom fit build and too much lighting to mention! Dash resprayed and all interior lights changed to matching LED's. Boost gauge fitted into clock space. Probably some more stuff i've forgotted about too! You can see it all on my website (http://www.benzsupra.com) Outside: Practically untouched which is fairly rare by my reconing. Stansard 17" alloys, Tinted windows all reound (lighter at front so you can see!) Stainless cat back exhaust. Engine: Completely untouched from modifying, only cosmeticly dressed up. Mileage is approximately 105000. Seeing as they are going for £5500 all over the place i'm pricing mine to sell at £5000 no offers. I love the car and it was my pride and joy for so long but my new house is taking all my finances so i can't have both unfortunately For any pics etc go to http://www.benzsupra.com/my_supra.htm Not much has changed since these pics were taken, it only got better i.e. big LNR fuse for amps, blue wiring instead of red under bonnet etc Email me at for any other info. Thanks for looking everyone and i hope it makes someone else as happy as it made me.

Hi all, Had a blow out on the way to work so i went to get it changed this morning and found out both my fronts were worn on the inside. I had both done and i had it laser tracked but when i got it back out onto the road the steering felt quite un-responsive and if i accelerated it would pull left and i had to compensate with the steering but if i eased off it seemed to re-align itself and i would be steering wrong. I took it back to the shop and the tracking was out again so they re-tracked it and changed the front passenger side tyre again to see if it was that causing the problem and i took it out again and got the exact same thing. Went back and they told me it must be something mechanical and to get it checked. So here i am! Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hi people, I think my turbo has gone on my 99 E 300 Turbo Diesel Merc, it's being looked at now by my mechanic but what i wanted to know is roundabout how much will i be looking at for a new or recon one? and how much labour will i be looking at? I only ask as i don't want to get ripped off and there are alot of people on here who will have a better idea than me! Thanks for any help in advance

Had a look around on here but i can't find what i'm looking for. I want to get an oil filter & an air filter, what i need to know is: Are j spec & uk filters the same Where is the best place to get them quick (i don't mind going to Toyota) Does anyone have the part numbers? If anyone can answer these questions asap it would be most appreciated. Thanks, Ben.

It did specify it was for home use but then again this is e-bay at it's best so who knows! i thought that maybe it needed two live feeds of 240v to make enough power? don't really know the technical side of electrics so i don't know if i sound like a complete div saying that! lol if it is 3 phase then would it just be junk?

Hi all a quick off topic question to any electricians/plumbers on here. I bought a "Dafi 9kw" water heater from e-bay but it has come with no wiring diagram, as usual contacting the seller is near on impossible because i bought it in november but have only just come to put it in he's not interested. Normally things like this wouldn't phase me, i have just put an electric shower in no problem but this is different. It has 2 live wires and an earth wire! I have never seen this before and i don't know what to do with it. The only diagram on the thing indicates L1, L2 & Earth. I did try doing a cowboy job and just whacked it all into a plug and just turning it on but it didn't do anything at all. I'm just lost now and wondering if anyone on here had encountered it before and maybey tell me what i need to do. Thanks guys. BTW it says 9kw - 400v on top of it! now i know we only run at 240v could i need to boost the power or something? i would still need to know how it's wired though!

Yep, sucks don't it!!
