  1. Cheers for the comments lads. Got my new front lip fitted this week too (at Aston Martin workshop no less ). Feel like the car is coming along nicely in time for JapFest.
  2. Yeah, got them on now mate along with some lurvely new rims too Pics can be seen in this thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=2334585#post2334585
  3. Finally got my new rims on. Pleased I went for the yellow on my calipers - I think they they stand out nicely. Thanks to Jay for wheel advice during my decision process Enjoy the pics...
  4. I was wondering about your option at your Sis's pub Hodge. From Dipton we could go over the top towards Edmunbyers and Derwent Reservoir etc - couuld be some good photo ops there. Some nice open moorland to be had in places too...
  5. I reckon so - especially since they seem to be 'car owners club friendly'. Once we've all met up, been fed and watered, its also leaves us a lot of scope for which direction we want to head off in: across to Sunderland and the coast, north into Newcastle, south down to Durham area etc....
  6. If there are a few folk from outside of the immediate area coming, I think an initial meet at the Angel Inn would be most convenient to get to. Metro Centre and Team Valley and that will be chocca block - would stay clear of them. I've got a few places I'm going to scout out at the weekend - will post up if they're any good.
  7. Don't worry Stu - I'm only NA power!
  8. About 4pm ish I think - stock looking silver: **** MXE ?
  9. This is a promising build up in numbers - maybe it needs a bit more to it than just meeting at JNE? As Spyro says - meet there then go for drive/photo locations. Lets see what the numbers are like by end of next week then we could maybe try and plan a few locations for those that can't make the SOL. I know there are a few folk out Northumberland way that might be interested.
  10. Carlos - that's the exact same spec I'm going with (wheels too!). Expecting to get delivery of my wheels today Oh, and you have PM
  11. So long as I don't end up with any pics of my car in front of the SoS!!! Jeez - that would be practically unbearable.
  12. Anyone from up this way going down to Japfest?
  13. Yep - sounds good to me. Car has been into the bodyshop to sort dings/dents/scratches and will have freshly painted calipers and new wheels on by the end of this week Was thinking about sorting something myself anyway - I know you mentioned no specific dates but what about sometime over the easter weekend? There is a JNE meet on easter sunday I think. 1. spyro (south shields) 2. stevo (swalwell) 3. 4. 5.
  14. I will join you lot at some point in the weekend's events Probably meet you all at the Raby castle event. 1) Havard & Mrs H (Not sure about Ellis) 2) Ian Ian 3) Pixelfill 4) Sted & *Lynz* 5) M5W TT 6) Rays the roof - !!!Music and lights!!! 7) Stevo 8) 9) 10)
  15. Dam it! Great price Jay - would have gone for these if I wasn't buying my new wheels next week.
  16. Are you after a TT or an NA or undecided? Past through morpeth on Tuesday on my way back from Acklington!
  17. Yeah - know what you mean. They don't do things by halves over in the states.
  18. I think I'd be tempted to go with black/red lettering or what about gold? Hope to get them on next week at the same time as my new wheels are going on, so will post some pics then.
  19. They the ones off Supraforums mate ? They do look good but then again the guy went to a lot of trouble to get such a good finish. I'm very pleased with mine for the £5 cost of a pot of hammerite smooth.
  20. What kind of alarm is it mate? As mentioned, it could be the car battery or it might be the back-up battery on the alarm system itself or dodgy siren. Possibly the early symptoms of the following problem..? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=152290&highlight=Clifford+battery Matt H on here is the alarm expert (in a good way ) - drop him a PM
  21. Quite like the blue James Was going to go for a blue myself at one point.
  22. Just followed the usual process mate: Wire brushed all loose rust and dirt off, sprayed with a decent degreaser and wiped down (covering rubber bits), Took remainder of dirt and rust off with a sanding attachment on a dremel drill and wiped down again. No primer - just put on about 3-4 coats of the Hammerite Smooth (applied thinly to avoid runs). Decals from the usual guy on ebay.
  23. Decided to stick with yellow - pleased with how they came out and should look good behind my new set of black spoked wheels when I get them in a week or so. Hope to get these on the car next week.
