  1. I'm booked in for the full works at Revolution in a couple of weeks time. Doubt they'll be up to the standard fo CW or CG but if you've not found anywhere by then I'll let you know how it goes Jay. Or maybe I'll wait for you to find somewhere good and I'll jump ship.
  2. Think I prefer the ones on the top pic mate.
  3. Come and live in the UK - the weather will soon sort the shiney bit out. Most of the year I own a manky grey supra
  4. This'll be great if everyone on the list can make it Hoping to get some potential calendar shots for the group category from it.
  5. Well chuffed with the positive responses lads - its always good to get some praise and know you're on the right track with your efforts. Just need some decent mesh on the front to finish it off - probably going with the zunsport stuff. Now... black or chrome???
  6. Just a dab of Autosol mate
  7. Cheers Smellywelshman.
  8. Ok - don't laugh as I'm not very mechanically minded. The more searching I do on both here and google, the more I'm getting confused about what belts there are and what they do. Some appear to be the same but called by a different name. Can someone please clarify? Fan belt - same as auxiliary belt? Auxiliary belt Cam belt Timing belt Drive belt I'm getting the squealing as I pull away (most often uphill or first thing in the morning) and want to start trying to diagnose the problem. Have been searching on here and will 'try' to suss out the condition of the crank pulley and tensioner too.
  9. He 'tidied up' my skirts, door panels, long key scratch on wing, bad scraping on nearside of rear bumper and sprayed my new lip off the car. Without polish and wax on the car, there are some awful patches from where they have machined the whole car at the end of the job. Lots of buffer trails left, holograms etc. Also left some orange peel and the odd faint run. TBH, I wouldn't take it back even for him to correct - there was a bit of bad feeling at the time. Would love to save enough money to have Paul at wonderdetail do his magic... one day hopefully.
  10. Yeah cheers - notice how there aren't any single shots of mine there Not happy with some of the work done at ASP in Sunniside like - thankfully its only visible very close up and in certain light.
  11. Yup - HKS Silent Hi Power. Man, how I love polishing that pipe
  12. First off you need a digital camera that can take RAW format images as well as jpg. However, it is possible to do using just jpg and an auto bracketing function on the camera. A search on here or google will be your best bet for explaining HDR (High Dynamic Range). In a nutshell, an HDR image is produced by combining several instances of the same shot but under different exposures. This essentially has the effect of bringing out more detail in both the shadow and highlight areas that otherwise wouldn't be picked up from a single exposure. Our eyes have a larger dynamic range (in terms of light) than a camera can record in a single image. However, to combine the differently exposed shots together, you need either photoshop or some other software (eg Photomatix). You can then use the software to play around with the 'strength' and 'smoothing' of light to achieve different effects - some look natural, others looking a bit more 'off the wall!' There a quite a few threads on here about HDR....
  13. I'm going to be making sure you stay away from my exhaust at Japfest
  14. HDR taken from RAW images mate. Effect is great on a clean metallic surface like a car!
  15. Yeah - and ufortunately on black it seems to be a never ending process. Everything is by hand at the minute but will probably begin learning machine polishing when I get the time and funds.
  16. Starting to get a bit addicted to cleaning now and have been frequenting the Detailing world forum too. Using some new Zaino products and topping of with a Chemical Guy's sealant.
  17. Went for a drive at the weekend and got some better pictures that weren't taken in the works car park! Looking forward to Japfest now the car is looking better and I feel won't be tarnishing the club's name on the stand
  18. I didn't get them from your group buy mate, but I've got some pics of the same product from Scott at EB Designs
  19. Is the next JNE on easter sunday?
  20. The Angel at 2pm sounds good to me. Headed up past Derwent Reservoir way yesterday to see what the areas around Edmunbyers and Blanchland were like - roads were all very 'pot holey' and there was quite a few big dips that would scrape bottoms if taken at speed...
