Get the Posrche whilst you have your health.

Doubt you will lose too much on it and besides you only live once.

Don't do what i did at your age and spend it on other soul destroying products!!!

Be sensible and save for the future, but if you can afford it go for - own it for a year and sell up!!!

PS I know you can get insure for around £1.5 - £2k becuase i just did a quote on line!!! Jeez when i was 21 i paid £1,500 on a MR2!!!!!!

Enjoy whatever you do, investing in property or the car is a win win situation!!!

Mister, I was in the same position as you a few years ago and this is what I recommend you to do:

A: would be a bad choice from an economical point of view - besides, you do like your supra, dont you? You can always buy a Porsche in 5 years or so.

B: No. Increase the amortization is the same as put the money on a savings account. However, if you need the cash for something you need to refinance your home which could be difficult in the current market. And to sign a prenup after you have bought a home together - that is going to be :fight:

C: The property in the UK has apprciated enourmously in the last 10 years and that is why most britts think property investment is a very safe bet - it is not. You already own one property and it is wise not to put all eggs in one basket if the property market is taking a nose dive.

Regardless, I would like to add "D" - invest in securities.

You are still very young and if you do not need the cash within the next 10 years I would easily put my cash on the stock market. Especially considering the market has taken a dive in the last 6 months and are now on very low levels.

Best

Kim

Your both young and still growing up....often young couples grow apart with age as you find your own way's don't always match.

property is stagnating and dropping, with more falls to come.

cover your @ss, speak with an independent financial advisor and find out what your investment options are.......your rainy day may arrive quicker than you think.

ok, here comes the rant:p i bought my house 2 years ago with my girlfriend, i earn nearly 3 x what she does, we're both 21 and have a good relationship. I'm currently in a position where i have about 1k + after al bills and outgoings each month

A:take out a large loan and buy a porche 911(996) turbo(i'll have to sell the supra for the rest of the funds:()

B: Reduce the term of my mortgage and get it payed off really quick but also run the risk of my girfriend getting half of my had earned cash if god forbid we ever split:(

C: Try my very best to actually save some cash and invest in a second property or property abroad.

I know this is sad putting this on the forum but all advice would be much appreciated.

Firstly what the hel you doign for a living ha ha, to own a house, be clearing all that money and be in a position to buy a 996 porsche you are a very lucky lad :)

Personally if it were me I would decide how serious you are with your other half, is she living with you now?? im sure she has some rights even if something does happen and the mortgage is in you name so would check that out first. If you are serious then I personally would buy another property and pay off the one your in now early if you can.....cars can come later, secure your future when your young

Good Luck

B or C id say. If you pay off the mortgage you'll be saving a lot more a month. But buying another property would be a good investment. Eitherway you are going to be nicely comfortable and you can still go for the Porche in a few years. Hell, you'll still be young enough to enjoy it:)
