grahamc
Hi Graham Boost depends on the strength of the engine, fuel being used, etc. max I'd want to run at on road fuel and on a relatively stock engine would be around 1.4bar. I generally run at 1.2bar which is insanely quick, 1.4bar spins the wheels up in the dry in 3rd. I'll check the price for you. cheers Thats seems like some decent figures, and te sort of route that I would like to go. The max boost figure is not an everyday figure. Most of the time I would drive around with the boost reduced. Look forward to it. Nic...is that dyno @ the wheels or Fly? (lovely smooth delivery) Does look nice and clean. What are the other parts required to get the turbo fitted and running properly? turbo manifold downpipe
Branners
I obviously wasnt paying attention last week when you had problems with your car. I thought you were on a fully built engine with a single turbo. Is your spec as it stands AEM ECU, built engine and hybrid sequentials, ie stock based uprated turbos? JB

bolarbag
Hi Nic, could you pm me a price for that GT3582R too please, What A/R's did you go for compr/exh? Exactly what model wastegate is that HKS? And lovely smooth delivery nice power figures too, but just wanna know one thing? What would be recommended to make that power curve last longer? It seems to tail off at just over 6000, was that a personal preference? Does this turbo run out of puff at that rev range? And as mentioned...estimated flywheel power...how do you get that from a dyno? Was it a hub dyno or something

I already had the in256/ex264 cams installed and this setup really helps wind things up quickly lower down. I have a 7000k rev limit which it reaches very quickly in lower gears. In 4th and above it does start to drop off slightly after 6K, but I have very few opportunities day to day to actually get up to those sort of speeds in HK. I wanted a setup that was as responsive as possible lower down, which was why I chose the GT35R, the GT40R would give more top end hp, at the expense of a little more lag (still minimal). The turbo is GT35R, .82 AR, with T-04 inlet, 3" V-band exhaust fitting and 3" compressor side exit.
Nic
Forgot to add, I bought the HKS set up kit, this includes the manifold and the Racing wastegate (plus V-band fittings). The wastegate spring is rated at 0.9-1.3bar. 1420-RT015 HKS Single Turbo Set Up Kit http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/turbo/support/set/img/image_01.jpg
bolarbag
256/264 would make good sense for spool, does that make the sup an interference engine? You are quite right though, not many times will you get the opportunity to take the car to its limits on topend But say you did, are the cams the only way to increase topend performance? price for mani and turbo(individually too please)
