through out the film it was all so over the top,but when thay built and put the new engine back in the supra, you only see the engine for about 3seconds. how sad,and thats the best bit if the film.

I have a extended version of the first film and they have them all sat around drinking with a huge pile of bits that go into the car, Intercoolers, big turbo, injectors etc, all polished up. That was the best part of the film! Paused it many a time, maybe more than Jordana!!

I really liked the one in 2 fast 2 furious (shame it was such a bad film though). Apparently it was one of the orange cars built from the first film just re-done.

The metallic poo one? TRD kit with nasty Blitz spoiler - driver with an inability to drive, they shamed the Supra in that film. Graphics looked like coffee stains.

Seems like a lot of work to turn one of the others into that when the guy who casts them seems to have an endless supply of people wanting to show their cars on TV.

Yea loose the spoiler and graphics nice supra....

Don't get the part in the film, where the supra turns up on a flat bed, and Paul Walker says

"Check out whats under the bonnet..."

They look to and say... "No way a 2JZeee"

What were they expecting, the base 1.2 single overhead cam model...?

However love the engine build scenes...!

i think he says it's a "2JZ GE" as in N/A which it its....but when they've worked on it the block looks more like a 2JZ GTE with the spark plug cover and position of the intake manifold.

How strange...

I am missing my car so much that I thought, I know, I'll get a little Supra fix by watching TFATF!...so I have literally just this minute finished watching it. :p

At the time of first seeing it, I was like WOW...what a car..now I think yeh it sounds gorgeous but the styling is just toooooo ott.

I also noticed that when that Jessy guy first "pops the hood" it's actually an NA engine under there. ;)

Must be honest I never really knew much about japanese cars or was into modifying any of the cars I owned until i saw that film.

From that moment on I knew I had to get a Supra, it took me 3 years of clearing debt but i got there, even if it is an N/A :D

For the time that car was/is amazing, as had already been said, ditch that spoiler for something else and lose the graphics.

LOL, yeer thats right, in the film they kept changing gears, from 6-5 and 5-6!!! Why would u do that? Keep the revs up to the red line then change up!! :)

I think that's because they all drive autos in America so anyone capable of driving "stick shift" is considered a legend or something similar, so they make a mountain out of a molehill with the gear changes. They did it to more extremes in the second and third films.

I've heard that the Supra in the second film was indeed one of the orange ones re-done. I've also read somewhere how they chose the car for the first film, and it read somthing similar to:

1. We love this car. It must be in our film.

2. Except, we don't like the colour. We'll paint it orange.

3. Or the bodywork. We'll put a new kit on.

4. Need to change the wing too...

5. And some dodgy stickers. They'll look cool

6. Oh. We could have bought a new one and done it up for half the cost of modifiying someone elses Supra. D'oh.

Plus, wasn't there a similar thread to this recently? The "it's only an NA engine" seems to be ringing some bells....?? :p

im not just going to say its crap becuase everyone else does, i thinks its a really nice colour and vinlys think the wing was a bit to big but cant imagine how it would look without it, think it was pretty nice rims and interior to, orange car, green main vinyl and blue interior, never think those colours would go well...but they did!
