I'm no expert, but the one I have has this:

Sounds like the pricing is fine, so hopefully it all turns out as good as it sounds!

Sorry Dunk, Someone has already shotgun'd the alloys, but you have second refusal :)

Hi Jay,

Very nice mate! A lot of car for 14k. I expect it would've been a lot closer to 20k if it had been a manual. The auto is great though, I much prefer it to the manual.

Take it easy when it arrives dude, it's gonna be rather different to drive than your Saxo!

[/MrObvious]

BTW mate, You know your webspace is wide open, right? You might not want everyone looking at your wage slip and pics of your GF

Jake: Everything under the /hosted/ folder is cool with me, I dump lots of pics of everything in there!

My wageslip is funny, everything of any importance is blanked out - I just laugh my ass off every time I see that I pay £0.40 tax per month. God bless dividends :)

As for the missus, she loves it

With regards to the power, I am already booked on some advanced driving courses, and will hopefully be attending the drift/slide day if she arrives in time. Believe me i'll be behaving myself after such a long wait.

Supragirl: yours looks quality, cant wait to see it all finished up. There's wide and theres WWWWIIIIIIIIDDDDDDEEEE!

Very nice! I'm jealous! :(

One thing though - how have you got it insured through Elephant? They don't even recognise the SZ auto, so there's virtually no chance of them properly acknowledging such a rare beauty, and if the worst happens you don't want them trying to fit normal parts to it :conf:

Thats true.. they only replace like for like.. as with many of the popular insurance companies.

Have you tried Adrian Flux, they're supposed to specialise for people with kitted out cars etc.

Also try some of the high performance specialists that these larger companies support. Like Admiral and Norwich Union.. give them a call and ask to speak to a high perfomance/risk division.

Due to my age, Adrian Flux will only insure the car up to a value of £10,000 so Elephant are the lesser of two evils.

Believe me, i've spent a solid week researching insurance companies, calling for quotes, reading fine print etc etc and unfortunately Elephant are the best available.

I'm not planning on the worst case ever happening, but if it does then I will have to bite the bullet and accept responsibility for my actions.

If someone else causes my P&J to need work done, then its their insurances problem and i can insist on like for like.

The Supra is going to be just slightly more than a weekend warrior, but not my daily driver (got an L200 warrior for that) and I will not be putting at risk leaving it unattended overnight etc.

The main area is total loss, which i've got it valued at £15k, but again they only go on market value so god knows what they would consider market value for a car like this.

As the 3000GT isnt actually a model, i've read on a lot of sites etc that they were based on the GZ, which is what i'm going to insure it as.

If the registration documents differ to this, then i'll make the necessary amendments.

Insurance sucks doesnt it?

Bloody Elephant gave me a good quote when i bought my car a couple of months ago, and when it was due for renewal yesterday, they said they wouldnt insure me. I'm 22 and have an N/A.

Yes insurance sucks.
