Thorin
To replace the S class, what do we think? http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_shows/2007_detroit/0612_2007_jaguar_xf_concept/
jim_supra
I like the look of it, well, apart from that front grill, they need to change that.
jamesmark
Give it 5 years, and plenty downgrading on the styling then yeah it will be made (probably).
michael
I like the Tron interior but it's not really got much Jag image in there - I usually like the way they retain some of the classic styling despite updating things, that grille just doesn't work. Thorin
Give it 5 years, and plenty downgrading on the styling then yeah it will be made (probably). Jaguar have confirmed the XF will be out next year, whether or not it will look exactly like this I don't know, but that's the current one shown at the Detroit Auto show now. tbourner
I like the way they go on about bringing it into the present rather than using old cars as a base, then say they're using wood as a structural material!!!!

edd_t
looks like a total copy of a Aston Martin (with a tiny bit of Audi from the front at certain angles)

AJI
not totally sure.... for me the front bonnet line is way too high. Probably due to the pedestrian impact criteria which each new car has to follow. Don't like the way that there are too many sharp edgy lines.... for me they don't mix well with the smooth curves. Cars should either be one or the other. I do like the rear wheel arch, the way it is part of the car and not looks as though it is simply bolted on as an after thought. And the roof line is nice and smooth.
bolarbag
They have took an aston rear and hood, then made the front look like a Seat Leon on Steroids...good way to fook up what was once a quality brand imho....who owns Jag now??
tbourner
Ford own them I think, and Aston, which is why they look similar (XK8 and DB7 were the same designs!). I love it though, shame the production model will be less 'butch' looking.

Ewen
It rang a bell, so I did a search...... Its exactly the same as the Ford Iosis concept, with a different grille and odd detail changes.
Kip
I really wish that Ford would stop with Aston Martin and Jag lookeelikes - They were once two very seperate companies with very different designs, bring back the grace and beauty of the original Jag designers visions and the brutish yet gentlemanly exclusivity of Aston Martin. Lets face it when Jag/Ford brought out the new XK (for 60/70k) - wouldn't you be a tad pissed if you had bought a 100k Aston? Just my two penneth..... Alex
I think this design will grow on me and what is for sure is that Jaguar do need to move on from the traditional XJ8/XJS profile. If they want to get new customers they need to make a radical departure from what they had.
Alex
In fact having looked again, and without thinking about it as a Jaguar (and all the history etc) I can't think of a better looking car in that segment.
VELOCITY
All the general managers at the dealers have seen the car in the flesh and my GM says it is very close to what the production car will be like apart from the interior. If you look at the concept ALC its very close to the new xk production car with very little changes.
