Jaguar XF

Give it 5 years, and plenty downgrading on the styling then yeah it will be made (probably).

Jaguar have confirmed the XF will be out next year, whether or not it will look exactly like this I don't know, but that's the current one shown at the Detroit Auto show now.

not totally sure.... for me the front bonnet line is way too high. Probably due to the pedestrian impact criteria which each new car has to follow.

Don't like the way that there are too many sharp edgy lines.... for me they don't mix well with the smooth curves. Cars should either be one or the other.

I do like the rear wheel arch, the way it is part of the car and not looks as though it is simply bolted on as an after thought.

And the roof line is nice and smooth.

I really wish that Ford would stop with Aston Martin and Jag lookeelikes - They were once two very seperate companies with very different designs, bring back the grace and beauty of the original Jag designers visions and the brutish yet gentlemanly exclusivity of Aston Martin.

Lets face it when Jag/Ford brought out the new XK (for 60/70k) - wouldn't you be a tad pissed if you had bought a 100k Aston?

Just my two penneth.....

I think this design will grow on me and what is for sure is that Jaguar do need to move on from the traditional XJ8/XJS profile. If they want to get new customers they need to make a radical departure from what they had.

All the general managers at the dealers have seen the car in the flesh and my GM says it is very close to what the production car will be like apart from the interior. If you look at the concept ALC its very close to the new xk production car with very little changes.
