Supragal
Apparently my wisdom teeth were really late coming though anyway (I was 24 IIRC) but 2 of them only seemed to get half way and today they have decided to have another crack apparently. Who invented them? They want shooting. I can't even close my teeth together the gum is so swollen.
Scoboblio
Doesn't sound nice. WTF did cavemen do? Probably die before the age of 30 actually, thinking about it. Hope you can get them removed without too much hassle.
merckx
Don't know if I've even got any. I had toothache recently , waking up every two hours. The only thing that worked was whiskey soaked in some cotton wool. I had the tooth removed, the empty socket then got infected. My mouth swelled up too, I went back to the dentist and he stuffed it with antibiotic.
Havard
I've been quite lucky, I never developed wisdom teeth. Aparently it quite rare for this to happen. That said I didn't develop any wisdom either!!! H.
rik
I had a wisdom tooth removed recently. All i remember about it is a brief but very pleasent feeling as the anesthetic kicked in, and 3 days of agony after. Worth it though
grahamc
i still have mine at 27, and every 2 - 3 months they let me know that they are still there, by swelling and becoming bloody sore for a few days... good luck
Faye
i still have mine at 27, and every 2 - 3 months they let me know that they are still there, by swelling and becoming bloody sore for a few days... I got one like that too - no room in the lower jaw is my problem. Already had one whipped out, waiting for this one to erupt some more before anything can be easily done about it. sdavies
31, top ones never emerged but fully formed (nice shot on an x-ray), bottoms ones made a bid for freedom and kind of half got there. They are ok at the moment, but every once in a while they will threaten to move some more - and boy do they give me headaches! So I can sympathise Dentist said if they move any more I will likely need em wipping out.. ooer!

Charlotte
I had my bottom two taken out in June and one top one at the dentist so there's just one left. The op itself was fine, best thing I ever did. I was forever having swollen gums before hand.

supragold
Hey, don't they have to brake your jaw and open it up like that cartoon character on the colgate advert that was on tv years ago... bet that really hurts
uzthedentist
wisdom teeth are an evolutionary design. unfortunately with our refined diet we dont use them anymore. thats when the trouble starts
grahamc
in some cases they have to dislocate the jaw. Can cause swelling... 1 filling, well not really a filling, since its half a tooth, that I broke with a yoyo
