Which is most important to you, if you had to choose just one aspect of your Supra?

  1. 1. Which is most important to you, if you had to choose just one aspect of your Supra?

There is a lot to be said for performance over looks. We've all seen kit cars that look like ferarris or lotus etc but with a ford escort engine - not very impressive. What is impressive are those de-badged whatevers and scoobys (ooh, controversial!) which look normal or shite but can't half give it some

I've spent the last 2 years driving round in a Spura with big sreas of laquer peeling off the passenger door, a white scrape on the front bumper & mostly covered in sh1t. Underneath, it's been getting the important parts updated and it's only now that I've got round to making the thing look pretty.

I think it should be a reasonable balance between both performance & looks, with the priority on the performance. I always felt slightly guilty driving round in such a shitty specimen, but the performance was there, so what the hell.

I personally wouldn't stick anything on the car that would upset the performance drastically. I spent ages looking at bodykits & the like, and finally decided that in the long term, I love Supras for how I first saw them - stock. There are some beautiful cars on this forum, and all credit to every one of 'em, but I want something that'll run solid every day, that'll get into car parks and over speed bumps without having to have the front end glued back together every few weeks.

I wouldn't want to drive a shed, so the panels being straight and the paint intact and all the bits that should be there are there, and function correctly, is important to me. However if it comes to splashing out money (which is really the dealmaker for what you think is important), I'd sooner be forking out serious cash for a loopy engine than the same amount for flip paint and blended sideskirts (shudder).

Performance all the way. External looks is for other people. Handling and performance is purely selfish ;)

Without a doubt handling performance. Car gets enough of a doss of 'good looks' in stock form anyway, with some different but same size wheels being the only aftermarket differentiator.

A car that runs smoothly and allows me to drive it safely with minimal interaction with lamposts, trees, kurbs, brick walls etc wins my vote over looks any day. :)
