I have just spoken to my MD, he went AWOL last thursday and only just resurfaced today. I was just about to moan at him, then he starts telling me about his weekend

His daughter has been seeing this boy for the past year, [he's from newzealand] anyway they went out on Wednesday night, and for some reason he went off on own home, quite drunk apparently, and stumbled onto a railway track [nottingham] and got decimated by an oncoming train

Oh happy days.

30 Miles roughly, South Yorkshire.

Jesus.. that's not nice... you would have thought that would have made the nationals? how tragic....

I agree, obviously more news worthy tales to tell. I don't know the boy by the way. :(

That'll teach him not to play on railway lines.

Must have been way too drunk to even noticed the railway lines.

when commuting from work (london) the only news i ever hear about ppl being hit by a train is when we are on the train and its being delayed! it very rarly makes it into the papers etc.

:yeahthat: Can usually count on at least one a year IIRC:( So sorry to hear this, really is tragic.

I remember the old school videos about railway safety and keeping away from tracks. You never think you'd be stupid enough to walk infront of a train. :(

only train i will walk in front of is my own. lost count of the amount of twats who jump over the barriers at crossings, esp if I'm going at speed, it used to scare me at first, but not now. Have only had to check the line once so far, due to a train in front hitting someone. I just followed the bits for a 1/4 mile till i found the main mass
