Bl**dy lights!

Anyone got a pic of facelight lights? The (yellow) headlights on my Sup are the only thing I don't like on it, makes the Sup look like a frog with bulging eyes imo! I was thinking about the eyelid option but was unsure....

Facelifts may be what I'm after....

The facelifts look good, but they will never look as bright as the glass UK lights. IMO, get UK lights and paintthe backs matt black. I've seen it done to a few Supras and it looks so much better than the jap facelift lights.

BTW: As an interim you can just clean up and paint your existing jap lights to look facelift. One the insides are painted black any remaining yellowness will be almost unoticable. (see pic below)

Cheers Vin ;)

So is it hard to paint the lights? I'm taking my Sup to my dads unit in next few weeks to fit all my BPU stuff and do a full service, might do that while I'm there too

Nic, how much are Jspec facelifts btw?....

Very easy. There's a few guides been posted on the forum, but basialcly, its just a case of:

- heating (in an oven - 150 degress for 10 minutes) and splitting the lenses and backs apart

- Cleaning up the lenses (for a basic job use T-cut glass cleaner, for a full job use 2000 grit sandpaper & cutting polish)

- Prime and paint the backs (I used standard Halfords matt black)

- Reassemble then heat in the oven aagin and clip back together.

It took about 5 hours in total, could probably do it in 3 next time.

£365! Christ, lol. Think I'll paint my own!

You could speak to GZAEROJON, he refurbishes them, He can do all the work for i believe £110. for a top job and you dont have to worry bout forgetting the timer on the oven and opening it up to see a load of smelly melted plasic :D

I think this is the 3 variants.. Facelift on the Red one, believe the green ones are Glass and think the silver ones are plastic.

Also standard facelifts are not actually black, think they are the same dark grey as the rear facelift ones. I think...

or heres gamers, see the difference:)

left are facelifts

right are j spec standard or uk spec glass

Thing is they looked good when they were with his bling Do-Luck wheels, but as hes going for the black look generally they (facelifts) suit the look of the car better. They were UK headlights.
