I've taken the front wings off, archliners hockey sticks etc. And have found some patches of light surface rust beginning to form. had I not stripped as much off it would certainly have progressed and become much more of a headache in future. Well worth being thorough. I was planning on stripping any rust back and coating with a high zinc content primer, then top coat of paint, and finally some form of rubber based underseal. mplavery Posted March 15, 2017 Share Posted March 15, 2017 Main reason was I was going to redo the wheel arches as you can see a light bit of over spray from when the car was painted so I thought about doing the whole underneath .. I'm planning on doing a project/progress thread shortly, so people can see the process over the next few years go on, and mainly a record for myself for the future.
