Banning traditional rugby in schools

One of the two leading experts drafted in to advise on whether traditional rugby should be banned in state schools is a Professor Eric Anderson.

Professor Eric Anderson is an expert in tackling young men:

A fine expert to have, I am sure he has middle of the road views on all young males and playtime https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif

Maybe wants his future young male conquests to be unmarked like a choice apricot.

I saw this yesterday morning on Sky News. I had to double take. I could not believe what they were proposing. Why not just wrap everyone in cotton wool in the maternity wards and be done with it?

Last time I mentioned that about new members someone instantly took a dislike to me and my posts and said I was bullying.

In a few years, you'd be classed as a bully for playing proper rugby :/

This world has gone nuts, people are getting soft and this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.

They've already took away British Bulldog and conkers from kids.

I will say right now, my son will not be raised a pussy!

rugby as it is atm is a joke , the scrum is just a total waste of time and an excuse for the ref to show everybody hes in charge and has a nice comanding voice.

plus the time taken to actually take a penalty (kick at goal) add all that up and youll be lucky if they play 40 mins

Played rugby since I was 10 and its the best thing I ever done, we need to stop wrapping kids up in cotton wool its becoming stupid now, next there be saying they cant takle in foot ball for fear they will injure there foot and have life changing consequences in there elder life...

My little brother's school has already banned rugby for the kids there, the parents (understandably) are furious, especially as my brother absolutely loves the sport, which he's now being told is too violent to play at school. Madness.
