Big Supes
In light of James Horner's passing and a brief conversation with Jay, it got me thinking... I love a decent movie score. Whether it's to go to sleep to, take the Supra out or hit the gym. Any other like-minded peeps - here is the place to share them. What are you listening to? I'll get the ball rolling... From Luthor. Some may have also heard this on Top Gear (Mclaren P1)
craig85
Sunshine OST is a regular for me, it's a proper modern classic. You only have to look at how many other movies and trailers have used adagio in d minor from it
j_jza80
Some of James Horners best work And a couple of greats by Hans Zimmer John Williams is another favourite, but I'm sure you're all too aware of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park etc.

I thought he done well with Man of Steel. Such a build up to the finale.

Kendo11
Great idea for a thread! My favourite gym song at the moment for when I'm going for a seriously big lift (in between the rap and dance and house) is the main theme from The Dark Knight rises. Time by Hans Zimmer from Inception is something I listen to when I'm completely alone and feeling angry/reflective. Movie soundtracks can be so emotive. Will be downloading a few of these later. j_jza80
My favourite soundtracks are from the Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Westerns This is the best of all the western themes IMO [video=youtube;m6BQKFs3-VM] This theme influenced a lot of later film music, and I gather it had a profound effect on Quentin Tarrantino. Westcoaster
My top three film scores: 1. The late James Horner - Braveheart - Freedom Theme - Powerful, passionate, stirring and unforgettable! 2. Trevor Jones - Last of the Mohicans - Promentary Adapted from 'The Gael' by Dougie MacLean. Hypnotic and Powerful. 3. Thomas Newman - Meet Joe Black (Whisper of a Thrill) Hate the film, love the music! I'm glad I'm not the only one that enjoys film scores, I had wondered if it was too nerdy to admit to!
