Slip Cont & o/d lights flashing

Recently had the coil packs changed and now the lights as mentioned in the title flash repeatedly. Also the snow mode and traction buttons don't appear to work!

Coincidence or another unrelated problem? Anyone got any advice on this?

Cheers.

Mine does the same. According to the Brains on here it's a defunct delimiter/speed converter. Doesn't affect anything except you cant't turn off TC or use MANU mode.

Mine doesn't have a speed delimiter so it can't be that.

Do you have any error codes showing up? If you do this smells like a code 42, my specialist subject. The workshop manual says code 42 is a speed sensor error, but it's very, very rarely caused by a problem with the speed sensor. More than likely it's a faulty speed converter/delimiter as Ellie said, or that the buffer circuit in the odometer has decided to stop working. Both causes are easily fixed.

I feel this mans pain. I've had nothing but problems with my auto and one day I got some air time and it's worked fine ever since which means tomorrow it will break again. Hope you get to the bottom of it dude

Speed sensor no2, mines been doing it for years, needs sorting tbh

I can still turn off the TC but it has no Overdrive iirc, I wouldnt drive it at all if i couldnt turnoff the TC, its an awful system

I just experienced this same issue, however I realized that the o/d light would not flash if the o/d button was actually off. Putting it on results in it flashing together with the slip cont off light.

Also, the relay labeled abs sol clicks rapidly as soon as the ign is turned on and never stops. Has anyone experienced this?

Whats the best way to locate/ID speed limiter/converter? Trace the wires from the cluster?

My Jspec must have one as Odo is mph. Are there any suppliers of good speed limiters/converters nowadays?

It's usually behind a cluster or near ECU area.
