Unfortunately the plate is lost as things stand. However, theoretically if you knew a friendly garage they may help you out if you grease their palm. gordy.r Posted February 11, 2015 Share Posted February 11, 2015 Wouldn't there be a way around it by putting the reg on retention (although it may mean DodgyRog having to pay the £105 retention fee) and assigning the original plate to the car and then transferring the plate to his Supra for the arranged buying price? st3ven1 Posted February 12, 2015 Share Posted February 12, 2015 I'm afraid, if the cars been off the road a while then the plate is lost with the car. There's no way to get the plate off without a MOT and subsequent Tax and insurance. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
