This is a great idea as it takes the hassle out the yearly nightmare that is "insurance renual".

I was also considering going for an agreed payout for a total loss as there is no way I would acecpt "Parkers" values if I lost my baby!

Hope this comes off! My insurance is up in June!

Great job Matt

add my name to the list of people interested, but im not due til July.

Another point, I think they will require us to be paid up members to the club, not just anyone that can read a webpage as it stands at the moment, so tell me where to send my £10 :p

Well done Matt.

I am 6 months away from renewal.

It would be good to have one company where it may be possible to discuss mod and actual impact ie safety and reduced risk like RL better brakes.

I think Andy's site would best best for web address loads of members on there.

Sounds interesting, though I'll need to read more about it before I decide - be nice if the option was at least available!

I'm due in July but Direct Line currently cover me fully (with legal and NCD) for around £850 (JSpec TT).

NP Matt.

Excellent policies like you say and it's worthwhile pointing out the following (as per the MR2DC insurance deal):

1. To get the Insurance deal you must be a member of the MR2DC. This stands at £30 / year. It's a very good way to increase membership numbers as this rule is strictly enforced. In this vain, I think people would be good for paying £30 a year here too if they knew it would save them on insurance.

2. Dorset make no discrimination towards imports. In fact a UK car (N/A) is the same money to insure as a Jap Import GT (Turbo) so long as they are both of the same year / similar value.

3. The policy includes free track day cover and european breakdown cover, a loan car in the event of an accident (A new MR2 roadster according to Sarah at Dorset for the MR2DC deal and she seems to be the one to speak to when buying), true value consideration (inc mods) and cover to drive any other car (to the usual rules of 'with the policyholders permission').
