Noz
I've emailed them directly asking for advice. I fear the re-build or re-con costs may outway those options, was wondering if there are cheaper contract companies that repair such items. I've only had it for 12-18 months, only used on weekends she hasn't seen many miles, and I don't partically want coilovers to be a servicable item. It could just be my bad luck, and a re-build may give them another sprint of life for years to come, but I'm feeling negitive about the fact I paid a bit extra for what I was hoping wouldn't be a budget product
Dnk
How many miles have they done ? seems pretty poor for them to fail in such a short time period. My o/e dampers did over 100k and way over 10 years old I doubt you'll get them rebuilt cost effectively compared to what new cost, aren't they around £750 ? Swampy442
Who did you buy them through? If its Driftworks their support is very good. Might even be worth just contacting them to see if they can give you any help.
Noz
Got them from Whifbitz. Paid around £780 I think, including postage, can't remember may of been less. I haven't done 10k, let alone 100k. Not even done 10k in the car since I bought it.
listy
Have you spoken to Paul? Maybe he can sort you out, or at least give some sway with the manufacturer/his supplier.

Noz
Spoken with HSD direct as I thought it would save time. My warrenty has expired but they are offering to replace the damper for cheap as chips, half the usual price as failures are so rare. Pretty good service! Westy
So they should 10k miles would be ridiculous for them to fail! Glad you got it sorted!
Noz
Thanks matey I was considering buying two to be even, but they told me it wouldn't make a difference. And thinking about having each side react evenly, I supposed its the spring that will have to settle not the damper.
-Welsh-Stealth-
You getting a complete unit? No idea how much they've charged you, but driftworks do the damper for £126.saves you bedding in the spring for those advised 500 miles that everyone does When mine died I saw the boot had split quite badly & all the dirt from Herefords horrible tractor infested roads had worked its way into the seal. Dirty roads maybe?
