If you're struggling mate, Aldon Automotive in Brierley Hill are pretty good, I deal with them at work. 01384 572553, ask for Steve.

Oh cool thanks. Unfortunately I have drained the oil so can't take it anywhere.

I could stab a screwdriver through it but then I won't be able to get the new one on.

Just phoned my mate that services mine, said definitely underneath and it is tight, but then he's about 9 stone wet through.... Just been outside and looked at mine. Does look tight! See if you can get someone to help you from the top whilst you have a go from underneath maybe?

Great news Josh :)

The less complex engine bay on the NA makes it very easy to remove the oil filter from above. Didn't know it was more of a hassle with the TT.

Not when it comes to doing the plugs  and to be honest the oil filters not that hard its just Josh

being a drama queen :D

If I had girls' arms, it'd only have taken 5 mins :D

Next time I'll take it to the garage down the road and ask to use their lift or something :D

When you do something for the first time, the apparently easy stuff can be the hardest. That's my experience with the car work i've performed on the car. I had no issues with flushing and replacing the coolant, no problems with changing the oil and the filter or taking the dash out and replacing the stereo, removing a knob is what brought me down. And it wasn't the knob's fault :))

Nope :) Never on any car.

They are Denso Iridiums and they where changed just before buying the car. I didn't accumulated serious mileage since then, so i'm clear of the woods for now :D

But when the time comes i'm sure i will manage it with all the helpful chaps and tutorials around here.
