James i think Tony should take them? DO they fit over UK's rear brakes?

I haven't tried tbh bud. They are 15" rims, so I would be inclined to air on the side of caution and say no. I don't think there are many if any drag setups that would enable you to run UK rear brakes, most require J-spec rears. Unless you go for a 17" wheel with a smaller tyre profile, which is ofc less effective traction wise. A set of J-specs can be purchased for very little though!

This is driving me bonkers. Does anyone have any idea how much (roughly) I would need to cover the full weekend? Realistically I shouldn't, but I REALLY want to go especially with the possibility of this being the last one... :(

You can hire a camping pod at Billing aquadrome for £40 per night.

Fuel down would be about 2 tanks I would have thought, then £5 entry to the event and if you go to Japfest on the Sunday that would cost, but it is on the way back home for you.

So the biggest cost is fuel.

If you stay on McDonald's diet for whole weekend and steal alcohol from weakest links well I would say that it will cost about £250 for fuel , accommodation ( sleep where you fall ) and food.

There's still space in our static home (£65 Friday - Monday), we use roughly about 2 full tanks of fuel for the trip, since it's mainly motorway. Then it's upto you for the whole "spending money" for food/drink.

Come along dude it will be well worth it!

Fuel won't be as hard on the wallet as it will be for the other guys. I'll need to go down in the Golf if I can make it, which in this case might be a good thing.

Ah, yes. I'm well accustomed to the McDonald's diet and sleep where you fall routine :D

I'll find out for sure tomorrow and let you know as soon as I can bud. Also thought about leaving early doors on Saturday morning and driving down and back up the same day but that would be a hell of a journey for one day.

Thanks for the info folks

Why put yourself through travelling down and up in one day...if anything, come down with us in the convoy on Fri and drive back up after pod on Sat!;)

That would indeed be a better plan... :innocent:

I figured going down and up on the same day would save me a few quid, but I guess it wouldn't be worth the hassle for the difference it makes :)
