For me, X-Factor was just a vehicle through which I became aware of a life affirming fragment of humanity. His story begins with an abomination against a minority, yet has already reached a chapter full of love and belonging. The message he hit us with was sugary sweet thanks to the context and editing, but what got me going was how chance gave the lad and his brother a Golden Ticket to another world.
