Iky Posted October 21, 2010 Share Posted October 21, 2010 Hi, Im getting a slight vibration of the steering wheel and the dash when holding the car on the brake. From a search on here it would conclude that my engine mounts could do with been replaced. The question is, is it worth getting TRD ones? i know that they are firmer than stock but how much difference would it make? Would they cause more vibration than standard jobbies? It had TRD mounts for the engine, and the full transmission inc Diff, and it felt fantastic behind the wheel, everything felt tight. Well worth doing in my opinion. It's a 96 facelift tt auto non-vvti Ive done a search but im still not clear as to which stock mounts, if I do decide to go for stock ones that is, are the ones to use. If something goes wrong, breaks, seizes or generally plays silly buggers everyone gets stressed and wound up. I would really need to have it here for a while. Hope you see my point of view? The car is now an absolute delight on tickover and when you are held on the brake in D or R. It's amazing what a difference it makes..!! H. I still have to get the brackets though. facelift tt mounts will last you ten years or 60,000 miles.. too much hassle swapping brackets etc.. much easier to buy facelift mounts , 2-3 hour job and be done with it..
