Wan't it a bit boring only having two gears to play with? :D

A manual single is deff more fun on circuit but I still had a great time :D

If you can be bothered you could flick the manual mode off on the straights to get a little more speed from over drive.

Thanks guys for all the advice.... WAs planning to go and see it but unfortunatly a few things came up today.. hopefully get down there and have a proper look at it this week.... I would love to spend abit more but thats my budget as it is.. To be honest id prefer auto but would consider a manual if it came up..

Not really fussed about the performance as its not a car i tend to have a little fun with.. its just a car ive always wanted to have and with the current prices its more within my budget.

TBH I would be looking at the For Sale section on here. Yeah, you may pay a bit more but you know you'll be getting a car that has been looked after and you can look back at the owners posts for anything relating to work being carried out etc.

Ive seen a few members cars that i wouldnt touch with a long stick !

Just because its for sale here doesnt mean its been looked after and cherised etc.

It would certainly help to get background info on a car and its owner but thats about it imo, buyer beware wherever your looking.

The one i recommended you could get for £3000 i'd imagine, and swap the wheels for someone's stock 16's to recoup the £400-500.

On paper IMO it looks a far better buy, i'd go and see it before the other one even if you feel its out of your price range.

I would advise against the auto NA. If you can get a manual, do so. Its not an issue with the TT cars, but the auto NA does suffer with performance.

can't say i find any problem with mine, its got great pull and ive also caught my mate who's got a TT off guard when having a play.

Now you have sed this could you tell me what to look out for ? or what you mean ?

I have to disagree with that. Obviously It depends from what car you are coming from but Im another auto fan converted from a non-believer. You can use it pretty much as a manual. Only downside would be the inability the slip the clutch to spin the wheels. Obviously if you're coming from an M3 or something you'll be disappointed, but it is a 1500kg car with 220bhp, and you need to rev it to get all that power. It is possible to go "Hmm, is this it?" when you plant your foot but the car responds with kickdown etc and generally is great. Id say definitely test drive one and drive it how you'd drive it if it was yours, not how you think you should test drive it ;)

i agree with you there mate.

i find it more fun in the auto n/a than a manual n/a, and plus you can just cruise around with out changing gears, and if you can spin the wheels i have no problem ;) lol

with the manual its just you can go to that extra few hundred revs than the n/a but i find the extra couple of hundred revs can slow you down either races etc as the car pulls the most power up to a certain revs any ways.
