Not that POS again! It was painted one of those multi-coloured purple pearl paints last time I saw it. It looked $#@! then and nothing has changed. The owner is/was a member here.

It was up for £14k a very long whole ago, but it's still to much, even for a project car.

Not keen on that hey homer? :p

not to my tastes tbh!

he is right michael. some arab guy had that entire car exterior made of silver and aparantley it has two sets of shocks and springs in each corner to cope with the weight.

The fact that you have to say "apparently" (or a variation of it) to back up your theory and the fact that I can point you to the MTM site (again) where it tells you they polished the aluminium body of a perfect car and used a fancy vapourised aluminium coating on the plastics before applying a clearcoat kinda says it all really.

Do you remember the last time you posted up the incorrect info on the Audi and a couple of people pointed you to the right information? No? Here it is...

In Dubai the mtm Audi A8 polished was the eye-catcher. The car was analyzed and in many studies the enamel varnish of the aluminum car body was removed. Furthermore the car was cleaned. After that, the car body was polished with fine abrasive paper as well as special polishes to high gloss. The blank dress must not have any defects, because of the fact that retouching was not possible. Finally the car was protected with special clear varnish against environmental impacts.

Because of the fact that it is impossible to polish plastic parts like front and rear spoilers, mirror house, side sillboard or also fuel tank cap, they were enameled in a complex way to get a chrome effect. Finaly they were polished with clear varnish.

And as for the suspension having 2 sets of shocks and springs to cope with the weight (of a polished car that weighs about the same as a normal one)... MTM say:

The air-spring-chassis was modified, so that a programming of speed dependent heights is possible

So yes, you are right, it's solid silver and has 194573 sets of suspension and the engine is made of diamonds and it runs on champagne *shakes fist at arabs*

Guys, it's not too bad really. The chrome effect is too much, but the body looks how it's meant to look I think. Not my cup of tea but it's not too bad, and most importantly he's not asking £20,000 for it which I think deserves a medal for being in the real world, as compared to say that silver-carbon fibre seriously-front-mount heap thing (nob'er or whatever he's called.).

It's been 'noted'.

Belongs to akallis.

Thats what I thought as I sent an email to Ali once when it was for sale (pre Chromed!) and that was around 2005/6 and he was asking more than 8K then, but maybe over priced, but the ad says the guy has owned it for 7 years and his name is Robert Nimmo not Ali Kallis - so who is the real owner? sounds fishy to me!
