Received the PM, thanks Imi, glad you are having one, as I said in PM, I can't guarantee it will fix your high intake air temperatures, but at least you know the same intercooler works for Wes and you have eliminated the cooler itself as the cause. Chris Wilson Posted September 1, 2008 Share Posted September 1, 2008 IMPORTANT: Sorry, a bit of bad news, I'm afraid, despite being told that the intercoolers were going to ship late last week or early this I have been speaking to my suppliers to get a definite ETA and the sole fabricator who has hand made each and every I/C I have sold, with a perfect fit record, over last 6 years, has gone on 5 days leave, not having managed to finish work on the coolers. They gave me the difficult question of whether I wanted someone else to finish them, or await his return. In view of the cited warning they gave me on time frames, and which I passed on, I have made the decision to await his return to work next Monday, when I am assured his priority will be your coolers being finished. I based this decision on the logistics of so many coolers just POSSIBLY not being a perfect fit and the complexities and delay of shipping one or more back. The original fabricator has made maybe 35 or more of these things with not one issue for an end user, and such a record is worth the wait, in my opinion. I hope you agree, and sincere apologies for the delay. In my defence I did warn that my orders, even for seven, carry little weight and their time frames are not something set in stone, as a result. I'll be onto them tomorrow to confirm. Thanks for your patience, last batch came through much faster, but it was outside of the race season and they were probably a lot quieter. For those with the patience to want to know the gory details the foundry that brazes the cores have installed a new furnace, which decided to eat upwards of 10 new cores, rendering them useless for further assembly. They have now re commissioned the old furnace and are finishing the rest of the batch of cores ready for assembly. Can people decide who genuinely needs these 2 first between themselves, here? I hope we can do this amicably and those with a genuine need should receive theirs on Friday. Sincere apologies for the delay, which was outside of my control. The suppliers have been good, in so far as they have made genuine efforts to get this (to them, small) batch out, despite problems that leave themselves out of pocket. I've recently gone BPU, so have a desire to have optimal cooling etc.... my current one has seen better days but then again its not falling apart.
